Picking up rental at dolphin resort

Hello all,

Headin down to the world in July and for some reason all the ALAMO rental vehicles at MCO are booked???? Anyway I managed to secure a rental out of the ALAMO counter at the Dolphin resort. Anyone have experience with this facility? At MCO I just walk over to the car of choice and drive it away. ANy insight to the Dolphin counter would be greatly appreciated.

I love renting my cars at the Dolphin counter. They are extremely helpful there..very friendly. I have had much better interaction there vs the airport.
The only thing to keep in mind is that they close at 4pm usually. But, you can do all the paperwork for the car earlier in the day and then return to the valet, with the keys, later and get the car if you choose to.
That's what we did...we rented on our Epcot day..did the paperwork after lunch, but then returned to Epcot for the rest of the day, and dinner, and went to valet at the Dolphin after IllumiNations to get the car. Very easy.
They also don't have a lot that you choose from...you pretty much get what they have. But I have usually been offered a free upgrade there.

Figment are you useing a rental discount code when booking at the airport? This could be the reason it said that Alamo was out of cars. Once they reach a certain number of rentals with a code they will show that they are out of cars in order to control the number of rentals with a certain code. I experienced this last week when booking a car. Once I removed the code I was able to book the car.

G4T - Thanks for the help. We are not arriving at MCO until 3:25. Looks like i'll have to review that plan.

Shelley - I was actually.Were you able to re-apply after the booking. The difference in price is pretty steep.
