Pick-A-Pearl - Advice Needed

Are the pearls $8 at Epcot? We paid $16 per pearl at DTD! If so, we got ripped off lol

Where did you get your white gold setting? I am allergic to the cheaper metals sold at Disney and eBay so I've never been able to do the pick a pearl I need gold or else my skin breaks out!

Got it at the Japanese pavilion in Epcot! It was similar to the one Raenstoirm posted above - just a simple, classic setting. They have others, though. We bought a sterling chain, but they sold white gold ones. We have had absolutely no trouble with the necklace or chain, and we've had it for several years.

Like I said, I think the whole thing cost around $60, and I think that includes the pearl, but it's been a few years. I'm not made of money, but I liked the experience and the souvenir, because it's a true keepsake - not something that will just clutter up my house and get thrown away later. I'd rather spend a decent amount on one really nice souvenir, than spend a little here and there and get a bunch of junk (a bunch of FUN junk, but junk nonetheless ... ).
