I thought I might try to do a few door signs but am having a problem. Is there any way to make an item have a transperant background so I can put clip art over another piece of clip art and have the back show thorugh?

Does that make sense?

Use the magic eraser on the background of the clipart you wish to place on top.

If it's not visible right click on the eraser tool and options will appear.

You'll have to experiment with the Tolerance so you don't erase more than you want. If you wnat it to be transparent on the 'net you must save it as a gif with the transparnecy option checked.
