Ok please help me as I feel like I am loosing my mind. I went to Best Buy to buy PSE 8 and they didnt have it so I downloaded the trial. I feel stupid and really cant get things to work. I am new to digital scrapbooking. But I feel like I need to take a class to learn this stuff. Anyone else have this problem too?

Any info and tips would be appreciated.

I purchased photoshop and was given a (rather thick) book on how to use it. It looked so easy. I still can't do anything with it.

They have photoshop community education classes by me, but they cost more than I want to spend.

So, no, you're not alone. And yes they do offer classes to learn how to use it. But there are so many people that really love it maybe it's worth it :confused3

thanks for the reply. I do not understand why it is so hard to learn. And yes I do hear that a lot use it and it is a good program. It's just frustrating bc I wanted to get started.

There are a lot of good video tutorials for PSE8 on Youtube. It was great way to get started for me (I learn best by seeing and then doing). The best part is, they can show you how to do something, and then you can pause the video and try it yourself on your own program! :goodvibes

I got mine in January and am still frustrated with it. Mind you I really haven't played with it much. I think I will invest in a copy of PSE8 for Dummies as I really want to learn to use it more efficiently.

I was thinking about getting that book too. Glad to know I am not alone.

I've had it for about a month and still am not sure how to do anything. I did find some classes at my local library though, so I jumped on them. I've checked out books from the library and haven't had much luck. I think I need to decide on some fixes and ask the teacher at the classes specifically how to do them??

Take a look at the free lessons they have on 2peas. They have step by step tutorials that are really easy to follow. The ones I did were called: Photoshop Elements - The Basics. They kind of start out slow, but that's actually a good thing. It takes a couple lessons to build a layout, but I really felt like the info sank in. They also have articles with written instructions.. but I found it easier to watch the videos. Don't give up!
