Photos of accessible bathrooms?

I wonder why they would say it was more labor, there are less tiles and grout for them to do. and having to cut the tiles so they don't rock is not that hard to do.

We had about 5 contractors come out to bid on our bathroom remodel. One contractor totally refused the job, saying the job was too labor intensive. The others refused to give us a quote using tiles any larger than 2" x 2" . They either refused with no explanation, or said it would be cost prohibitive due to extra labor costs. One of the contractors told us that there wasn't a tile installer anywhere who could slope the tile properly using larger tiles.

Of all the responses to our request for quotation, only one contractor would give us a price option for the larger tiles.

According to our contractor, the 2" x 2" tiles being on a mesh cuts down significantly on the labor required. He said this is due to the forgiving nature of the mesh on a "non-perfectly" sloped floor which is especially common on a renovation. The mesh lays down and follows the contour of the floor, whereas the larger tiles may need additional leveling compound beneath them. If the leveling was not done properly, the tiles could crack or the water could puddle from improper sloping.
