can anyone tell me how this works? How do you get one to start with? Can you have ride photos on it as well? Thanks! :)

When you get your first photo taken by the photographers they will hand over the card, it is like a credit card, and each time you get a picture done you hand the card over and they scan the card. Then 90mins later you can view them.

Not sure if you can have your ride photos put on.

They now have a photopass cd, so at the end of you holiday you can have all your photos put onto disc for $99 plus tax which came to $106.

Compared to paying $12 each photo, it is well worth it, they even go through them and put sigs, and boarders on the good photos, (i say good as ours either had my eyes closed or DD pulling silly faces, we did have a few decent photos)

The disc holds 300 images.

If you have 100 photos, by the time they put on sigs and boarders this will change the final figure.. ie we had 149, by the time we had finshed it changed to 296, it all depends on the amount of changes are made to the photo. HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND.

In each park they have lots of official park photographers in all the prime positions (i.e just in front of the castle in MK and in front of the tree of life in AK) just hanging around waiting to take your photo if you want it taken. The first time you have a photo taken the photographer will give you your photopass card which as Princess Jackson said is just a piece of plastic like a credit card, with a barcode on the back, and then each time you get another park photo taken just hand over the photopass and the photographer will scan it, so that all your park photos are on the photopass. In each park there are locations where you can view the photos taken in that park, and in 2 or 3 parks you are able to view all the photos from all parks.
In Mk, if you have a photo done in front of the castle the photographer will ask one of you, (or two) to stand with either your hand held out to the side or cupped in front of you, you wonder what he is asking that for ??? but when you see the photo Tinkerbell is standing on your hand !!! Similarly in AK it will be baby Simba.
You can have your choice of photos printed out (or on CD) before you come home, or wait till you come home and then do it all on your home PC (using the code below the bar code). We only had about 45 photos done, about 20 of which we would want to have printed, but at $12.95 each it works out pretty expensive so we are going to have the DVD thing done, on which you can include your park photos, and lots of your own photos, with professional shots of all the parks, and the characters interacting, music etc, for only $49.95.

Just got back last weekend. We used the photopass...grab a photographer, have your photo taken and at the end of the holiday get your disc burned.

The disc holds more than 300 images. We had in excess of 350! (195 originals and the balance the "framed", "signed" etc.) I was speaking to one of the ladies in the EPCOT Camera Centre and she said her ""record" was 312 originals.

The quality is also very good. :teeth:

Hi richard we went to the camera centre at DTD inside the world of memories shop, and the cast member looked at our cards and said we could only have 300 images, and we could not get all the photos changed. I wish i knew this as there are some photos that i would like a sig or border on.

so where is the best place to get these converted then ??? Can we do on our last day, ie at 10am inMK before we leave at 2pm to get 6pm flight ??

We were going to go to DTD on Fri night after Universal, but dont really wnt to pay parking at Epcot just to do photopass. We go to the MNSSHP on the Thurs so definately want to wait until those are down loaded.

How long does this take to do please? ie put on signautures boarders etc. Can you view them first of all ?

I went along to the Camera Centre in EPCOT on the Thursday. They set up all the pictures I had there and then. They burned the disc and I paid my money. They told me that if I have anymore taken on the Friday just to take the CD, Photopass card and receipt to any of the 4 camera centres (EPCOT, MK, Grand Floridian {I can't remember the 4th}) and they will burn another disc at not extra cost as you're paying for the property rights and not the CD.
I went back on the Saturday morning and had the extras burned onto a new disc (by the way it takes about half an hour to do the manipulating and another 15 to 20 minutes to burn the disc - hence I did the majority of mine on the Thursday).

Princess Jackson - I have 351 images on my CD and there is still room on the disc. Maybe they mean more than 300 original pictures. :confused3

...a quick update on my CD:

189 original photos
158 modified photos
----
347 in total
----

Space left on Disc: 255MB

:goofy:
