Photopass - voucher for money off?

I've seen a thread on here before where I'm sure somebody said the later you leave to the deadline of your photos expiring to purchase your CD you may get a money off voucher via email.

Has anybody had this? If so, how near was it? Mine expire on the 12/6!

This didn't happen to me and we ordered ours the day before the photos expired

Not heard about this, but personally wouldn't risk it.

If you waited and no voucher, you could lose all those wonderful memories.

We also left it to the last minute and no discount codes were sent to us.

I've ordered PhotoPass items on several occasions since it started (back in 2004) and have ALWAYS received a discount code - but NOT by email!

When you go to the photopass website, check out their home page, that's where I've always seen the codes - usually for x% off if you spend $x - then when you checkout, type in the code.

Hope you manage to get a discount - enjoy your photos!

During the time our photopass pictures were online there were various discount codes up on the home page but unfortunately they were for actual printed photographs not the CD.

ETA I think Photopass is a fantastic idea ~ we have ended up with 2 CDs with over 320 photos! Now I'm waiting impatiently for my Photomovies to arrive.

Do you have to pay any customs duty on cd when it arrives or, is it better to get it when you are still at WDW ?

I read somewhere that people got e-mailed codes but there shopping basket was empty whereas the ones who didn't have codes had added photos to their basket, maybe photopass knows, it's worth emptying your basket and seeing KWIM?

I kept getting emails reminding me how many days I had left before they expired but no codes. My shopping basket was empty until almost the final day but I suppose the activity where I was messing with my photos showed I was planning to buy them anyway.

We didn't have to pay any duty ~ the form attached to the packaging declared the cost of the CD as less than $10.

We were in two minds whether to buy this at WDW or not, especially after reading reports that you could only get the logos added at the respective parks but in the end we had to order it from home as my DD was taken ill and we never had time to get it sorted over there.

However I am glad that we did do it from home as we have now made over 320 photos from around 130! I would never have had the patience to do that over there!

To those that have already purchased the CD in the past - are the photos in .jpg format ? DH is worried they will be in a "Disney" format that we can't "manipulate". Also, can you have them printed professionally or are they just for home printing? I would like to have some re-sized and printed on canvas. Does anybody have experience of this.

They are in JPG format. You can do a limited amount of cropping on the Photopass website but once you have got the CD and uploaded it to your own PC you can do whatever you like to them.

You also buy the copyright when you buy the CD so you will be able to go and have them printed anywhere.
