Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend 2025 (September 4-7)

lol. When I did the WDW Marathon I crossed start line at 5:05 and finished at 10:10 so I ran it in 5:05.

The selection was a joke. They sold out of car magnets in the first day? They should’ve ordered AT LEAST enough for each runner to get one. The quality was bad as well. I forced myself to buy a long sleeve hoodie. I saw a black jacket with black lettering which was completely unreadable for full price.
I think they pulled the half magnets because there was a typo in the ear. It said 3.1 instead of 13.1 based on pictures I've seen.

Corral D for 10k, A for the Half
Bib 203xx

I just can’t bring myself to put an estimated 10k pace faster than I could actually run it. I still probably won’t run as fast as the pace I chose, but that’s the way it is. I plan to run with a friend anyways.
As someone in Corral A who had to wend her way around people literally walking at the start of the 10K, I appreciate your honesty and taking the Corral D placement. I understand that people want to get a jump on the balloon ladies and not get swept, but it's so disrespectful to people who actually want to run and run fast.

Regarding the pace estimates, this was only my second RunDisney race -- I made the assumption that the "pace" should be based on running pace, rather than pace after accounting for the character stops. Was that the correct way to do it? There were definitely far more people in Corral A than finished in an 8:00 minute pace. Looking at the net time results, there were only 33 people total who would have finished in under 7 minutes per mile, so that would be a very small elite corral.

ugh kinda what I figured. I saw challenge bib photos posted with A | D which just doesn’t make sense. Regretting signing up for the challenge now in January. Or at least not lying about my 10k time.
DS had D/A D for 10k and A for HM he finished with the slower pacers that were in the A corral.

yeah but season ends with wine and dine...after that it will be new coast to coast medal. they may keep this design but the design has 2025 listed on it....so that will have to change.

now all of us here in disneyland have no opportunity to buy any gear...i know they had some before because i can see the listed for 1000% on ebay
I saw a spectator wearing a 2025 coast to coast shirt that looked nice. he said he got it in January. when we were leaving sunday there was plenty of race specific merch left in the Fantasy store in DLH. but no C2C

Tonight's epiphany. DD (14) admitted that she forgot she had registered for the 10k until a few weeks ago.

DS16 is getting over a bug so I have a chance of beating him in the half... he may not know we are racing.
DD14 did finish just 5 months after her surgery on her right foot. DS smoked me by 17 minutes but he had POT and A corral, and used the RWR pacers to the finish line. DS stayed with DD through the 10k and encouraged her.

Yes, that's the best way to do it. If I had to choose a pace based on total time including character stops, I'm not sure rD would let me enter anymore considering two of us ended up at 24 min/mile for the 10k during marathon weekend this year. ;)

It’s interesting that people are able to not be honest on the POT. Don’t they need proof, as in a race with an actual finish time? DH said he was surprised that people were in the first corral who shouldn’t be. It created needless confusion and chaos at the start.

5k & 10k are estimates, no proof of time required. So people have figured out they can put the fastest time to avoid the balloon ladies or have more time on course. I ran the 5k in January at Disneyland and the amount of people walking from the start of corral A with zero etiquette was incredibly frustrating. I will never run a Disney 5k again unless for a challenge bib.

This comes up every race. The bottom line is -- with some exception and without making assumptions based on body size or age -- you really don't know if they truly lied or if that is a time they are capable of running. It's a Disney race, so even the fastest runner may decide to take it easy, stop for every character, take their time and soak in the atmosphere. I've done ::checks signature:: 40+ Disney races and have seen bad etiquette from fast runners, slow walkers and everyone in between. I've also seen it in races outside Disney (hello RnR Vegas!).

It's just... people. Courtesy across the board has gone out the window since the pandemic, but I will say race etiquette hasn't changed much since 2016 IME. I'm as guilty as anyone of NOT doing this, but try to focus on your own experience, be kind by default and practice patience when you need it, then come back and vent here.

This is so true. I saw so many people walking as my corral (B) caught up to A and not trying to stereotype but there is no way they belonged in an A corral. And I’m used to the bottleneck when you start but they were killing the pace so badly it tanked the second mile pace for me. It was more of a speed walk than even a brisk jog. My first mile was 10, second almost 12, and after that I got into my 9 pace (with stopping for photos).

Has anybody's photopass pictures been uploaded? Disney said within 48 hours of the end of the event (so right about now), and I want to make sure I'm not doing something wrong.

I generally give them some slack with tagging but at this point I'd definitely recommend reaching out to them, other people were getting their photos same day.

I was disappointed in one of the Instagram accounts I follow online, who literally has a website on lots of rundisney information posted "I don't know how we pulled A/C" Yes you do. You chose the fastest time for both the 5k and 10k. and maybe the fastest without proof of time for C. I was in B with a POT of 2:19 which made me wonder if there were only 2 POT Corrals.

Did you link the photo pass code to your account?
