Photopass Superthread!

has anyone else had mega trouble with the photo pass website? we are trying to edit and download pics and it is taking FOREVER. I thought it was my internet, but i went to my in laws home and also to my office and am finding no matter where i am (fast internet versus slower connection speeds) the pictures take forever to load, longer to save and downloads are impossibly slow. Editing photos is almost impossible...

Last year I had intermittent problems with the PP website. One night I logged in and ALL OF MY BORDERS I HAD ADDED WERE GONE! Then the next night they reappeared. I chalked it up to doing it in the evening while everyone else was and their server getting bogged down. I've never downloaded my photos (always ordered the CD) so I can't provide any insight on that problem. I would email them, they are very responsive

Need to make some more posts! I think after 10 posts on the boards it will allow you to share links, but i'm not sure.

I am wondering if anyone has had any PhotoPass+ issues from the MHP. We realized that our ToonTown pre-party photos from 10/22 are missing. PhotoPass help says they don't show any photographers before the party start time of 6:00. Thank you very much!

There were no Photopass photographers at the pre party last Sunday when we were there. The handlers were taking pictures on guests' phones for them.

Hmmm... I would have sworn there were PP photographers when we were there, but I am now doubting myself. Thanks for the info! Even though I hate to be wrong, this would make sense about the confusion!

I only know that because we went straight to the villains line after Toontown. When it was our turn it dawned on me I didn't have my PP+ lanyard out that night. I asked the photographer if they'd be able to find our photos from Toontown since the photographer hadn't given me a card. They assured me there weren't any photographers there! LOL. So I made the same mistake. I could have sworn they were there. But it was just handlers who took shots with our camera.

I agree. I would have loved to add Photopass borders to those shots. But I did get a chuckle out of you having the same problem I did remembering it.

I agree too. We didn't see the characters due to the lines, but the line for the sign wasn't long so we took our own pics there. I didn't realize there were not any PhotoPass photographers in Toon Town at the time. Seems like a missed opportunity- and a paid special event!

When I asked PP about the missing photos, they said no photographers were in ToonTown until the start of the party. I agree that it was a missed opportunity! Plus, I think it is silly that photographers would be there for the second hour of the pre-party, but not the first!

I have been meaning to mention that I asked for the Chip magic shot on 10/24/15. Two different photographers took the picture in two different locations, but the magic showing up is Tinkerbell. I asked about adding Chip to the pictures through the help feature, but was told they were not able to add the Chip magic to the photos.

Once I have the pictures on my computer I organize them in to folders for each day. Then I have a sub folder within each daily folder where I sort out the original from the ones with borders (but I usually add several borders to each and every picture). That way if I want the original I can more easily find it.

Thanks! I want to add several borders to each picture also, but I am not sure how to keep the pictures organized while I am working in the Disney PhotoPass website.

There is no way to organize on the PP website. Once you add the border, it will create the additional image that will automatically be placed after the original. And if you add multiple borders, all the borders will be individual images in a row with the original picture first.

I really wish they would add some way to sort, or filter, your pictures, possibly by favorites, or by location, or dates, so you only have to download the ones you actually want. If you have 500 pictures it's just too hard to do one at a time, but then again I don't necessarily want all 500 pictures either. I usually end up downloading all of them and then deleting the ones I don't want.
