Photopass going to $169

I just preordered my photopass this past weekend for end of May/beginning of June. I saw on another thread that the preorder is supposedly going up to $129.99.

Remember, you can hand over your camera to the photopass person and they will take your picture, with your camera, for free.

And I can almost guarantee it will be better than the "official" photo.

Not saying you shouldn't buy the photopass but I can't imagine going to WDW for my honeymoon and not having a camera.

Uh... I am bringing my own camera. I never said I wasn't. It would be really weird if I didn't, since then I wouldn't be able to take any photos of our hotel room, or the two of us when we go out to eat, or places we go that aren't even on Disney property, or a bunch of other things. But I can use PhotoPass and still bring my own camera.

If I have children that are older and don't want to take many pictures with characters, so is the photopass cd worth it?

How about adding you personal picture to the cd? Can you use all the features of the website to make changes before you print?

I just preordered my cd and photobook for our trip in September. I sent an email to let them know that this would proabably be the last CD i would be ordering. Maybe if enough people let their opinion be heard they will make some changes. They dont know we are unhappy unless we let them know.

I did the cd last time and might do it again this yr
It was worth it for the memories and magic shots, but overall as many have stated you can take or have someone take a picture just as good if not better then the cm
Like I said though for $99 it was worth it for the magic shots and adding boarders
$129 not so much, 99 was pushing it for me
On the flip side this yr I will have 5 kids with me from 6 months to 7 yrs so not having to carry a camera around and get it out all the time is worth something right there

Ps I wouldn't miss the headaches and amount of time it took to add the boarders if I didn't get the cd again

So has anyone ordered the Personal Archive CD where you upload your own pictures and can add the borders and stuff to them? I keep reading people saying their cameras take better pictures and just give the photopass people your camera. But people (as do I) also like the borders.

I read through the whole thread and didn't see anyone mention that. I was thinking of doing that for our upcoming trip even before this increase as I have given my camera to photopass people on our previous trip. I had gotten in line to have ds meet Handy Manny then when it was his turn, I realized I left the photo pass card in the stroller. I didn't want to start another card, but I had my camera around my neck so I asked the guy to use my camera.

I imagine there is a limit to the number of photos you can put on it, but at $19.95 you can probably order a few. Anyone with any experience with this?

Yes. I ordered an Archive CD a after one of our trips and found it to be worth the money. The border options are EXTREMELY limited, but they were different than the ones available for the Photopass CD. You can upload a picture to the site right now and look at the border selections to get an idea of what it includes. I know that I put 160 pics on my cd, but I have no idea if there is a limit. The site doesn't say that there is one.

I uploaded a few photos a long time ago and the borders available for uploaded photos were different than the borders for photopass photos.

Crazy, I didn't think it was worth $99.
