Photopass CD Preorder

No... its 180 days from purchase, don't know why they told you that. If you search other threads that talk about this MANY MANY can confirm this.

Actually, I read other posts yesterday that said it was recently changed from 180 days to 60 days, so I'm not the only one who was told that.

Sold. I bought it. Did anyone have any issues finding CM to take their pictures in all the fun spots that Disney recommends? Even at night? Since implenting the advance photo pass card, are they as enthusiastic about taking your picture as they used to be?

I have found that they are just as enthusiastic as before, maybe even more so!! There also seem to be more photographers then in years past.

I especially like that they are available at most character meet&greets because I let the Disney Photographer snap away while the kids are interacting with the characters and I get to actually watch vs. trying to get a good picture.

I have also found that if you mention to the photographer that you have pre-purchsed the CD that they seem to take more shots, and even "action" shots, not just posed ones, especially around the characters.

I read a tip posted by a fellow DISer that I thought was really good -- make a point to take multiple pictures using multiple photographers in the same location, ie in front of the castle, Spaceship Earth, etc. There is a wide range of experience and skill level with the photographers and you might end up with your one and only family shot in front of the castle being blurry if you only take one!

Have a great trip! Jennie

Very cool... thanks for all the help!
My trip would be a disater without this board :lmao:
I will definetly be ordering it as it gets closer to my trip.

I have a quick question. . .can you "pre-order" the Photopass CD after you return home from your trip or is that a no-no? I was just curious. :teeth:

if you order it after your trip it will be full price 124.95....to get the $99. you must order before your pics are taken

Does the 60 days include the 30 days that you have after you enter the photopass numbers to see the pictures?

Just placed my order, did anyone order the Photo book along with the CD. Me the Disneyholic did, its 50.00 more so for 150.00 CD and Book I think it will make a great keepsake.

It's 60 days from the time of purchase to the time you use the code (which you receive when you pre-order the CD); the code is used when you place the actual order for the CD with your pictures on it. So that 30 day PhotoPass expiration is part of the 60 day Pre-Purchased PhotoPass CD timeframe.

that really makes no sense at all... example even if you bought it only 1 day before a 2 week vacation...when you get home you have 30 days to first look at your photopass pics...then you have 30 days from the first day you look at them online to actually order them...therefor you would already be well past the 60 days from the day you pre-purchased the cd??? I am waiting for an answer directly from photopass on this subject

I am a totally newbie . when ordering the photopass that means it's up to me to find these photographers to take the pictures. Are they easy to find them all over disney? about how many pictures do you get?

The 60 day expiration came directly from Disney's Photo Imaging Dept. on Thursday (via a phone call I received from them).

From what other posters have said recently (this info I didn't get directly from the horse's mouth, unlike the 60 day expiration) the pre-purchase option is not a general public thing, that the link is emailed to select guests about 30 days prior to their trip, and was never intended to be for any and everyone. That makes sense, especially when you can't go directly to the PhotoPass website and preorder the CD for a discount; we all got it from a link posted here on the DIS.

So actually, it makes perfect sense. Check out the link below:

Your right, it doesn't make sense! You are correct, you have 30 days from when the first photo was taken to enter your code and view them... then you have 30 days to edit/order ect. But as far as from when you pre-purchase your cd, a large % of the people that HAVE ordered them before,
state that you have 180 days from when you pre-order the cd, to actually claim your pre-purchase code.

I to am waiting for a response from Photopass.

Just purchased the photo cd and book! Leave in 2 weeks, so glad I came across this board!
