Photopass CD Preorder

We are leaving this Sunday for the World. I remember reading on here about pre-ordering the photopass CD. Can anyone give me some info on this? I checked out the Photopass website and didn't see anything. I mainly need to know if this is something that I order before we leave or order it at the parks.

If you order the CD at WDW, you will not get to modify and/or enhance your pics. It's best to pre-order the CD before your trip.

I just bought mine from photopass before we left. They sent me an email with a code to enter when I order my CD.

Thanks for the info and the website link. Ok, I've ordered the CD but have not received the email regarding the promotion code. Shouldn't I have this before we leave on Sunday, or is this something that takes Disney a while to send to you? I'm just trying to get everything in order before we leave Sunday.

You should receive the code in an email shortly after you order. In fact you will probably get 2 emails but only the second one will have the code, the first is just an order confirmation.

You will not need the code until you return home and are ready to order the CD. You will enter your photopass card numbers and populate your account with your pictures. You will then have 30 days to enhance and add borders to your photos and order the CD.

I take 1000's of pictures when we go to Disney, but I still order the photopass cd...it's a great price with the pre-order and you gets the rights to have your pictures printed...and it's fun adding the borders

With the vaca package we booked we get a free 5x7. With the Photopass can we choose which 5x7 we want? Also for being a rewards member with our Disney Chase cc we get another free 5x7. Can we choose which one? I know with the rewards pic you have to have done in a spot at Epcot. And is the 100 bucks really worth it?? How many pics do they take a one spot? How many pics can you have in total?? Just want to know if their locations are prime spots too. Could you re-create them yourselves? Sorry so many questions I'm just nervous about missing anything. This is our 1st Disney vaca.

Received my code. Guess I needed a little bit of patience (received it a little while after I ordered it) and better eyes (I just missed it after checking multiple times).

I'm a believer in the Photopass CD, and have always bought it when I returned back home paying full price. Compared to the prices that they charge for just single pictures, I feel this is a better deal because you can fill the cd with tons of pictures, add the little extras and be able to print them out yourself. We went with my in-laws in 07 and had them combine their photopass pics with ours, then split the cost of the cd. That was by far a better deal than trying to decide on a couple of pics at the prices that Disney charges.

We usually take advantage of the photopass photographers and have our pics taken all over the various parks. It was really beneficial to use them while at the waterparks because there were photographers all over BB when we were there in 07.

Just be forwarned...I was told by Disney (the Photo Imagine Dept., which is responsible for the photo CD's) that the Pre-ordered CD codes are only valid for 60 days from the time of purchase. Of course the website doesn't tell you this, but that's when they expire.

So let me get this straight... if I buy the CD, I get it delivered by Disney after I am done addign my personal touch, and then I can take it to say WalMart and print out all the pics?

No... its 180 days from purchase, don't know why they told you that. If you search other threads that talk about this MANY MANY can confirm this.
