Photography Logistics

Hey everyone, after planning on getting married at the Swan for a LONG time now we decided to bite the bullet and go through DFTW. I am just curious for those of you who got married in Epcot and used an outside vendor for photography how the logistics of that works.

I would assume that the photographer would have to be bused/limoed in with us. When typically do you get to Epcot before the wedding? We are about a month out from being able to book, I am an information Junkie. The 4 hour package with DFTW for mini wishes just doesn't seem like enough and I had my heart set on someone else when we had planned on the Swan.

I have a detailed account of the logistics in my wedding trip report, but basically we just told Disney how much time we wanted in Epcot for pre-ceremony photos and brought our photographers with us in the limo. They were already with us at the hotel for a few getting-ready shots and our first look in the lobby. We got to Epcot around 7:30am for a 9am ceremony and had plenty of time to shoot in Morocco and Japan before our Morocco ceremony.

I'm definitely of the more-is-more school of thought when it comes to photography. Even with the Wishes Catered Event Experience, you'll need getting-ready and portrait (if you do a first look) photography before the ceremony, so that's more than 4 hours. Some people even go out again after the reception for more photos!
