I just recently purchased a new camera. A canon rebel. We're heading to Australia and I wanted to take some good photos while over there. I plan to use 800 film. My question I'd like advice on is- I have the x-ray bags for my film to protect it. When I go through security, I just lay my film right on the the belt and it'll be protected? Then they'll probably ask to examine my bag? I've heard other photograhers says they've requested hand inspections of their bags to protect the film but were denied. That's why I got the lead bags. I know anything under 400 your films safe but I would like to use 800 film.
Any advice or experiences? I don't know what to expect since we'll be in another country.
thanks!
