Photography Board WINTER Assignment, 2011: Scavenger Hunt

Sure was. I was really hopeful for "inside an antique building" when I pulled up....Paid $60 for DS and me to get inside (that's 2 days at WDW, if you buy a 7+ day ticket)....only to be told.....no photography inside .

I'm glad I stayed...don't know if there will be another repeat visit.

Still, it was an intriguing walk inside the mansion. Never knew which way we were heading and heaps of room. The last two rooms we saw were the formal lounge and the formal dining room. I was so itching to pull the camera out...those two rooms were beautiful! Fantastic woodwork, floor and ceiling, and beautiful leadlights.

I was anxious about DS and hoping that he was going to last the 65 minute tour through the house. As you can clearly tell, he was totally thrilled about our excursion this morning....he figured it was going to be creepy inside
(note the Cigar Store Indian...)

But once we were inside, it was fine.

On Day 9, my scavenger hunt luck was still holding!


Corduroy It must have been my day for spotting corduroy...

First the guy sitting in the bus in front of me...

And then my cousin, who I was lunching with!

Emergency

This was taken from a Muni bus on 3rd Street. The bus was CRAWLING along. There was some major traffic disruption ahead….we inched on ahead and finally got to Mission. 4 lanes of traffic all trying to head in different directions EXCEPT straight ahead at the same time!

Turns out an earlier bus had ripped down one of the powerlines….

…. and there were two wires in the middle of the road. This was one of the two...

(lucky the guy in front of me was wearing corduroy )



Cultural - Chinatown

This is a Chinese Medicine Shop...selling herbs.

And this one fits into Window Scenes of my Favourite Food, Chinese Cultural, with a Neon sign.

Manufacturing Hope you appreciate these....it cost me 50 cents to take these pictures!

Zamboni - not quite....It's an Olympia!

I snuck into the ice skating rink in Yerba Buena.....and got this shot.

Okay! I've finally finished Day 10 of my holiday.

Right to the end…my luck with scavenger hunt items held. I managed to pick up Winter sport where DH works

…and Peppermints just stared me in the face at the check-in counter.
