Icon- Jim Thorpe one of the greatest athlete from the 20th century

History- Following the 1953 death of renowned athlete and Olympic medal winner Jim Thorpe, the boroughs of Mauch Chunk and East Mauch Chunk merged and adopted the name of Jim Thorpe in hopes of attracting attention and tourism to bolster the local post-industrial economy. The town bought the athlete's remains from his third wife and erected a monument to the Oklahoma native, who began his sports career as a student at the Carlisle Indian Industrial School in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. On June 24, 2010, a son of Jim Thorpe (Jack Thorpe of Shawnee, Okla.) sued the town over his father's remains under a Federal law designed to return Native American artifacts to their tribal homelands.

I haven't cleaned this week so I was able to get this one!! :lmao::lmao:

Dusty

You'll appreciate this one. I have NOT been dusting for 6 weeks so that I can get a similar shot.

Whilst I was out on Sunday, my husband decided to help out with some housework. He figured that I had not been dusting, so he did the job for me. :headache:
Imagine how I felt when I came home....but I didn't have the heart to do anything other than be thankful and grateful. :rotfl2:

Kiss One of my friends (from photo posted) took this photo from my camera. I hope I can count it.

Pool Fun It's winter in Australia. This is as close to pool fun as I'm going to get. And I would need to get a Visual Recording Device Permit ($) to take photographs in the indoor pool we go to in Melbourne!!

Pool (Snow) Fun This is Snow Fun! When the snow melts, it will be a pool of water :rotfl2:. No extra points counted!

Gadget* This is my Yoda gadget and he deserves a whole post to himself. When I turn on the computer, his light sabre lights up (complete with sound effects). If I've gone away and my computer is asleep, when I come back and it wakes up, the light sabre lights up. Little things like these amuse me....

The pilot of the blue helicoptor took off shortly after and flew right over me!

This group of items were things that I had thought only possible to find in America....it's amazing what you can track down in Melbourne when you set your mind to it!

Old Glory I found this store in the Yellow Pages....
0711OldGloryAJuly11.jpg

And they had one of these pinned up on the wall!
0711OldGloryBJuly11.jpg

Smore I looked around and found these in the corner! I had thought that these were almost impossible to get in Australia.
0711SmoresJuly11.jpg

Taffy, Salt Water* And these! I stole a shot and the taffy stayed in the shop. Someone might be able to enlighten me; but I thought the price in Australia is almost criminal!

PrincessInOz, you're on a rampage!!! Well done! I'm so impressed. I still haven't finished packing for our trip to Melbourne tomorrow. Might get to start that PRT before Friday...

It helps that we have been "building" our home office - so alot of dust build up very quickly! My dh started brushing off some areas and I was like DON"T touch the cabinet!:rotfl:

Later when I was attempting the berry shot he actually asked me if I was doing something productive :confused3 - my reply was "of course - I'm improving my photo skills (then under my breath, and building up points on the scavenger hunt ;)) :lmao:
