Photographing Pets

Deleted penguin, your Labrababy is gorgeous.
Great job capturing his expression. It's not always an easy task to get terrific photos like yours of black dogs. I've always had yellows, but I love the velvet coat of the blacks.

Thank you! It's difficult photographing black labs. The lack of colour throws off the exposure metering on the camera. For every good photo, I've got about five others that are overexposed. :)

Is that a Mickey head dog tag I see? Anyone know where you can get those engraved with the dog's info? I have a blank Mickey head dog tag and would love to be able to use it.

We got our dog a Mickey tag while on our trip to WDW Oct 2007. We bought it at Fort wilderness. It engraves it right in the machine, it had many diffrent disney styles. We also saw this machine at DTD if I remember correctly. Hope this helps you if you can not get the one you already have engraved.

AWESOME!! Thanks for the photo! I didn't see any options like that when I was last there. I may just have to have a friend pick one of those up for me for the puppy! THANK YOU!!:yay:

Hi

I have looked through this thread and there are some lovely photos. Would love to share my lot.

This is my 4 this morning, was just cleaning the floors and put them all in the kitchen till I was finished. They were all in the same bed, they get on really well:rotfl:

My old boy Monty has really bad legs so we bought him a blow up bed for him to sleep on, I think he liked it:)

Minnie, she is my baby, she gave us a great litter in 2006

We ended up keeping 2 out of the litter, this is them, taken last summer

My old kittens, Patches and Cleo. I know the quality of the pictures isn't great, but I thought it was adorable how they seemed to pose for the camera.

Wow, that's great that your 4 will "cuddle" together like that. They look like puppies (except of course, their noses!) all sleeping together. Emma will not allow "others" to actually touch her when she's sleeping - once she let our cat sleep next to her when Kitty was a kitten, but that's it. It must have taken great restraint to only keep two of the puppies - if I were in your shoes I probably would have ended up keeping them all!

Wow, I am loving all these puppy pictures. Hope I don't get "the bug" or something seeing them all. ;)

Word has it we may see yet another beautiful puppy today. A hint: she's white.

Here is Maya, taken this past September. It's my favorite photo of her.

This is my favorite picture of Abby, our Maine Coon cat:

Finally, this isn't a stellar photo or anything, but it's our very first picture of Greta, the White German Shepherd puppy (not a polar bear cub!) that we'll be adding to our household on Sunday:

Oh Dodie! She is so cute! She does look a little like a polar bear cub! How exciting! Our new pup comes home in 12 days! :goodvibes

squitty - that's amazing that all four dogs will pile in like that! How big is that bed?!? :rotfl:

eeyorefan1 - they do look like they are posing in the shot of the two of them. cute kitties!

LOL's it's a big one, they don't usually pile in like that. I don't know they must of just been having a moment of madness.:rotfl2:

I love this thread! I thought it was a basket of puppies at first when I looked at it. I have looked at several times. I love it!

Great pictures everyone!

I love this thread too.

Just wanted to share a couple of pics I have of my cat. I can't remember if I've posted these before or not. Kaht (short for King Alexander Hyper Troublemaker) being his own bad self. He's 17 years old (but definitely does NOT act his age!!

paw:Thanks for inviting me over!paw: :dogdance:
Would like you to know that your photo of Greta caused quite the commotion at work the other night. I showed a fellow lover/owner of white GSDs Greta's picture and next thing I had a large crowd around my laptop oohing and aahing, LOL. This girl never saw her own W-GSD as a puppy so she was very excited to see yours.

Oh, and BTW, my coworkers loved EVERYONE's pictures! :goodvibes

This isnt of MY cat, but my friends.
I thought it was pretty though. ^_^
