Photographing Pets

Can play by himself all day and only likes to chew up paper.
That's so funny, because "our" Shiba used to do the same thing! We thought it was because of circumstances - BIL took him to work with him and on the way always got a Dunkin Donuts coffee. Every day the dog would chew the cup to shreds, LOL. Never a problem with that dog, what a nice little personality. I'm glad you're enjoying your dog.

Danauk, beautiful pictures. What kind of camera did you buy? And please tell us about where you live. I am a big James Herriot fan - are you in Yorkshire? (I bet there are other Herriot fans here too. ;) )

At one time this was in my signature, but I didn't want to get in trouble for going over the limits so I took it out:

Thanks for the compliment, I bought a Kodak c875, it is nothing too fancy (8mp, 5x optical zoom), but it had $180 off in the sale!!

Right now I live in the middle of England, about an hour from London on the train. I don't live in Yorkshire now, but grew up there and all my family still live there. I take it you like All creatures great and small? I have been to the location in is filmed in many times (my parents have a holiday home near there), plus my grandad was friends with the guy who owned the car the vets drove so I have been in that too (when I was much, much, much younger!!) I saw them filming a few times too.

Thanks, Fergie. She was on the Photgraphing Pets thread a few pages back and some of us posted on her calendar thread. What a nice gesture to benefit the animals. :thumbsup2

I didn't catch that!! Glad to see she got some pics.

Wow, how lucky you are! It's such a beautiful country. I hope to visit someday with my family. :cloud9:

I'm glad you got such a good deal on your camera. It seems to take a very nice picture.

Loving all of these beautiful pictures, please keep em coming!

SleepyMom, nice to see a big picture of Dash. He reminds me a lot of my new "nephew" - actually the dog that replaced the Shiba I mentioned on the previous page. He and my dog get along well and go for long walks together - quite the pair. ;)

what nice pictures all of the animals are so cute I don't know how to post pictures not a computer person. i have a 3 lb chihauhau

I just took this tonight, just playing around. Not sure if it technically good, but it seemed ok to me. What do you think?

These are a couple of photos of my German Shepherd, Charlotte, who is 2 years old. She isn't a rescue dog. Her favourite playmate is Beatrice (Bea for short), who is a Golden. Bea is also 2 years old, and as you can see, she loves nothing more than getting dirty! The dirtier the better, in her opinion!
Bea is owned by a friend, who got her from a breeder at 13 months of age. She has a heart murmur and was unsuitable for showing or breeding - all the better for Bea, I'd say!!!

Oh yes, and they all bark with an Aussie accent...:rotfl2: :rotfl:

Ok...so I've been looking at everyone's adorable pet pics and decided I would try and share mine-I've never posted pics before, so hopefully this works

My baby Grace at about 4 weeks...I rescued her at only 2 weeks old from my Uncles farm-something had bitten her neck (the hole was about the size of my thumbnail, on such a tiny kitten it was almost the whole front of her neck!) and it was infected; I brought her home, cleaned out her "wound" and put antibiotic ointment on gauze pads which I wrapped loosely around her neck. I fed her kitten formula w/a bottle every 3 hours (including getting up twice a night) She's great now though-all healed up and the sweetest girl!

MIA: Freckles the wonder-dog, Squeakers the silent cat, and the fish

I realize that these aren't the greatest shots, but they're what I have on this computer-I just got a new camera for my birthday so I'll have to try and get up some better pics. Also, I can't quite figure out why some of these look so big-I changed the size on photobucket on all of them, but it seemed to only work for some:confused3

Nice pictures, Jess. Sometimes on Photobucket there's a lag time in posted pictures showing up the right size, but eventually they're ok.

Furgus (ie Mr Nikonian) are you being a wise guy? :scratchin Let's see some better shots of your cat. I know you can do it. (Are you still mad because I said I like the Yankees? ;) )
