I am an amateur photographer that likes to eat. So I will be posting some of the restaurants that we visited. Me, DW, DD14, DD8. We to Sci-Fi for lunch on this day. We have never been here before and it sounded like fun. Sci-Fi Dine-in like Prime Time was more for the novel experience and fun than for the food. I have to say that the effect of a drive-in was done to perfection. It is really dark in here and difficult to photograph but to use a flash I feel ruins the ambiance.

The movie trailers were great and the girls really enjoyed them. On to the food.

Seven Bean Beef Chili - with shredded cheddar, pico de gallo, and tortilla strips. This was OK but nothing special.

Spinach and Artichoke Dip for Two - A blend of Monterey Jack,
swiss, and asiago with spinach, artichokes, and corn tortilla chips. Again OK but nothing special.

We all ordered shakes for our drinks and they were very good.

I had a Reuben sandwich and my DW had Italian Grilled Chicken Sandwich which were good but obviously not photo worthy since I forgot to get shots of them.

On to desserts:

Hot Fudge Sundae - vanilla ice cream with hot fudge, whipped cream and a cherry. It was as good as it looks.

Peanut Butter-Chocolate Cake - Warm chocolate cake with a creamy peanut butter center served a la mode. This was wonderful.

I LOVE your photos/reviews. Thanks for sharing, I'm looking forward to the others. Would it be possible to slip in here and just get a dessert?

Excellent photos!:thumbsup2

I loved the Sci-fi Dine in - it was great how lovely you made it look!

Great photos! I'm enjoying your "photographer's view" reviews.

What kind of camera do you use? I tried to get pics inside of Sci-Fi (no flash) and they didn't come out very well at all.

I have a Nikon D90 and using a Sigma 30mm f/1.4 lens. It is a special lens for low light. But just a warning, just having the camera and lens is the first step. You still have to know how to use them.

DH and I will be trying Sci-Fi for the first time next month. We love Prime Time Cafe but wanted to try something different. The shake sounds yummy.

Nice review. We'll be there for our first Sci-Fi lunch in seven days. :)

Love the first two shots.

I'll have to see how the Pentax black 35mm f/2.8 Macro compares with your Sigma (although your D90 blows my old ist*DL out of the water in body-terms!). Holdin' out for a new D7. :)

Great pics of Sci-Fi. :worship:

The Drive-In atmosphere is what made this place magical for us - and the food wasn't half bad either. ;)

Awwwww, Sci Fi. Love that place. I'm still dreaming about that hot fudge sundae. We're not doing HS during our next trip, but now I'm second guessing myself. No Toy Story Mania and No Sci Fi, that just seems sad. :sad1:

Thanks so much for posting these awesome pictures! I had cancelled my sci-fi ressie after reading the lackluster reviews but after I saw your pics I had to call and get a new reservation. I know that my nieces will love this place and so will I!
