Is a copy sufficient proof for a replacement in case a ticket is lost or would you need the original as well? I was planning to leave the original at home but now I'm wondering if I need to take it, too.

I don't think you will need the reciept. I once lost a ticket back in 2001 and a photo copy of the ticket was enough for them to cancel the first ticket and re-issue a new one with the remaining amount of days on it.

I think Disney just needs to know the serial # on the back of the ticket to cancel the lost tickets and issue new ones.

Although, I work at AAA, and we once had people lose some hopper passes, they didn't know the serial #'s. A CM called us and just asked us to fax her a copy of the people's receipt (which we keep) as proof of purchase. Disney is very helpful when it comes to losing tickets. -Steph

Thanks!:wave2:

I wish it was as easy to get my questions answered about things non-Disney as it is here for all things-Disney...you people are amazing!::yes:: :sunny:

Did that statement make sense...my English teacher would probably roll her eyes.  :teeth:

When we were in MK in August, we stood in line to get fastpasses for Splash Mountain. When my husband was next in line for a machine, he found that the person who had used it previously had left his ticket behind. He left the area too quickly to find him and we didn't want to yell out "hey, who lost a ticket". We gave it to the CM standing behind the machine. My question is this: Can a person who lost a ticket under those circumstances replace that ticket without a receipt or photocopy of the ticket. I'm sure that this happens very often. My husband and I felt so bad for this individual because if I recall correctly, it was a teenager. If one of my kids lost a ticket, I would whine and complain but I would absolutely replace it. Many parents might not and we were afraid that this kid's trip was ruined. Thanks.

All you need is the number on back of the ticket. THen, they cancel the lost ticket and give you a new one. I keep my receipts, too, just because I am anal.
