I am having a problem with posting pictures from Photo Bucket.

for example when I post a picture, it comes up bigger than everyone else's picture?
MakingMagicalMemoriesTink.jpg

I upload them as 1024x768 (17 inch screen) as people were having problems with them being too small when they downloaded? I just made this a 15 inch screen, but I am not sure it will be big enough when people go to use it? That was the complaint before when I uploaded them at 15" screen :confused3 :confused3

Help please:scared: :scared: :scared: Penny

I do not know if this answers your question but one way to make them smaller is...

at the top of the box where you upload the pictures there is text that says 'max image size'. I have mine set at 800 x 600. Then everything you upload bigger than that, Photobucket will automatically resize.

I believe that 800 x 600 should be plenty big enough for any 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of transfer paper.

I hope this helps.

I will start changing to 800 x 600. I seem to remember people had problems with my pictures at that size though?:confused3 Thanks Amy, I will try it. Penny:hippie:

Not yours specifically, Penny- but others I have already printed - when I firsty opened to print the size was rather small for a shirt so I resized the designs myself beforeprinting- It could be that the people using your designs just need tips in doing that- When a design is made with an intended size, it will only be in that size through the program it was made in and file type it was saved in- (to my brief knowledge that is) If they say, open it in word- Word may open it at a size compatible and it may be smaller due to... I don't know- If they open it in Explorer they may get a better size, etc-
If I am wrong, someone say so-
But, again- I had to resize a few of Kelly's and Taekwondo mom's before printing- I did without much problem (as I had to trial and error it) and they look great!
I will print a couple of your cards later and see what default size it is printing at and then try and resize - I will report back with that later- My son is on the desktop doing a program for class-
Also, may people say to print it is best to have a file size of at least 300 pixels and of course depending on how large you are going with the size- adjust the pixels accordingly-
I hope Dom sees this thread and responds too-

For everyone that has windows xp I print using their default printing wizard, you can change the size of paper you are printing on and you can change the size of the image itself. So lets say I want to print some of my wedding pictures in different sizes. I can chose either full page which would be 8 1/2 by 11 or I can chose 4x6 and 5x7. I can even print a full page of pictures in wallet size. I will upload a screenshot because I may not be describing this very well.

Wish I could help but I don't use Photobucket. Had a problem with them requiring my cel #.

One basic thing to remember is that pics on the 'net are displayed at 72 dpi even if you create the image at 300 dpi. An 800 x 600 pixel picture is going to be 11.1" x 8.3" when printed off the web. You can change the resolution (dpi) to say 200 dpi in a graphics program and it will print out at 4" x 6" but it will still be 800 x 600 pixels.

OK, Thanks everyone, this all makes more sense. I will now start saving them at 800x600. I thought they had to be bigger. :goodvibes Hopefully this will solve my problem. Thanks, Penny:hippie:
