Is the Christmas tree there year-round?

I didn't think so, but I have a picture from September 23rd and it is there, so can't say.

Is the Christmas tree there year-round?

Yes it is. The four family scenes in the Carousel of Progress all take place on holidays, and as we progress through the decades we also progress through the months of the year. So we have:

1. Valentine's Day in the early 1900s
2. Independence Day in the 1920s
3. Halloween in the 1940s
4. Christmas in 2000 (as envisioned by Imagineers in 1994)

There are also several Hidden Mickeys around and under the tree.
