This was taken at a friends house in Oregon. I love that I can see the detail of the pollen on the flower.

I made it smaller I hope it comes out smaller if it doesn't I apologize now.

background... one the way home from the zoo we stopped at this cemetery cause it was said they have nice landscaping which we couldn't really find( might be where late pres Garfield is buried though we couldn't find that either) so i took some shots, very old place started in 187? wanted to make this look like it was night and a little of that creepy "what's behind me but afraid to look" feel so i added a vignette, converted to b&w then added the purple cast

i just found out i was at the wrong cemetery for garfield and the gardens...i was at riverview, that one is lakeview)...oh well, i'll have to try again lol

Not the best shot but definitely the most interesting. As happens fairly often, a hot air balloon was visible from my house. They usually float right over at a pretty low altitude but this one was quite far away and I was at the far end of my 70-300. As I snapped a couple of shots, an American Airlines MD-80 came screaming into the frame at just the right time. I just sort of got a kick out of it.
