Photo Sharing: Ultra Wide Angle

Oh... like they don't have birds and wing nuts where you live! :rolleyes1

I wonder if they "lock" those wing nuts down in any way. I could see some 'fans' who would be tempted to 'borrow' them! pirate:

+1 for that. This is a great shot, Code. Great creative use of an external flash in Disney.

Click it for Flickr.

I don't know how I missed this shot this morning on Flickr, but it's great, Tom. Fantastic colors, the composition is excellent---it will be instantly faved as soon as I can get on Flickr. Great work.

This is beautiful, especially to a Cinderella fan like myself. Do the light this with colors, or is there some sort of reflection from the castle?

I used a handheld flash with a pink gel on it to add the color, one pop of the flash from each side of the statue. (a gel is just a colored plastic sheet that goes over the flash bulb to change the color of the flash light)

Very creative and very nice results!

Not the greatest photo but a good example of a wide angle portrait:

Mulch getting real up close and personal, and the photopass photographer capturing me while taking it all in! ;)

Are you sure YOU took this one? As I recall your faithful assistant held open the shutter a few times with this setup. ;)

A few more 14-24, exploring an abandoned phosphate plant today

Wow, Jeff! PLEASE tell me you used something like Topaz Adjust and Detail on these, because if you're getting that straight from the camera, I'm going to have to sell my car, home, and a limb or 2 to buy a D700 and 14-24.

The engine cooling fan lying on the ground really reminded me of these places. I design electrical systems for construction equipment and the phosphate mines are one of the most destructive environments imaginable, turning alternators into mush in months. They also very effectively suck the moisture right out of our skin.

Great photos!

This absolutely stunning! An 8 second shot with no one in it.... was this after park closing???

Thanks :) It was about halfway through evening Extra Magic Hours on Jan 31.. it was pretty cold and the crowds were low.
