This thread has been kind of quiet; so, I thought that I look through my WDW pictures from last August and post a few.

Awesome pictures! I haven't been able to post any yet. Does anyone know when I will be able to post pictures?

The post count to post pictures is 10 so you should be there. Do you have your photos uploaded to a photo sharing website?

I agree with Kathy's comments. That's a great shot, Mickey88. I surprised that there are only a couple of people in the shot. It looks like a great place to watch the fireworks.

the river is 3 blocks away on the other side of the capitol, there was a music festival all weekend along the river, so most people go to the fsetival then watch the fireworks from along the river, only a few photographers watch from behind the capitol.

there was another photographer at the top of the steps, but I cloned him out, his feet might actually still be there,I edited this quickly to show some coworkers.. I need to clean it up a little..

great shot man!!!!! what did you shoot that with?

shot with my Sony A700, and my Minolta 28-75 2.8 lens..

to get the exposure I wanted on the fireworks I had to underexpose the capitol..

so I took the raw file, adjusted onecopy for the fireworks, then took another copy and exposed for the building,

I then overlaid the building exposure onto the fireworks exposure and erased
the upper half of the top layer :thumbsup2

I only have some up on facebook, but I keep that pretty private. Can anyone recommend a good, hopefully free, photo sharing site?

Thanks!

thank you, I used my A700 that an Angel picked up and shipped to me a year ago May

 It's always nice to have someone who thinks your an angel! :rotfl:

I believe you could sign up for a separate account on facebook to use for posting. Or I think flickr has free basic accounts. I'm sure there are others as well that someone else might list.

I use photobucket for the photos I post here. It's very easy to insert pictures to this board from this website.

I have a question for all of you. Do any of you use an internet service to back up your photos? I have used external hard drives to back up my photos in the past, but I've just started using an internet service.

My DH really wanted me to do this in case something happened to the hard drives or our house (although hopefully our house will be around for many years to come).

I've chosen Mozy back up service based on internet ratings and also the price. I think that I paid ~$80 for 2 years with unlimited storage. This service seems thorough, but the back up is not really fast (although I do have hundreds of gigabytes of pictures).

I am interested in other experiences with this type of service.

This is my first time trying to post from flickr and it just doesn't want to work. ~~sigh~~

Try photobucket. You create an account, download your pictures, then copy the "img code" and paste this link into your note. It's very simple and photobucket makes it easy to copy the link. You just move your mouse over the picture, a box then comes up for you to chose the link that you want. Move your mouse to the actual "img code", it will be highlighted. Then just copy this.

That so weird. I had a few test photos I took and wanted to upload so I tried an account at flickr and couldn't get a link to work either. I know that several people on the photography board use it but I have no idea what needs to be done.

I grew up in MN but have never been to the Arboretum and hope to see your pictures. And from the North Shore too! I've only been there once and it was winter. Brrrrrrrr!

If I figure it out I'll let you know.

EDIT - I got a flickr posting to work by right clicking on the picture, opening properties, copying the address and inserting it as an image. There may be another way as well but this should work.

Finally! This is one of the water scenes at the U of MN Arboretum. Beautiful place! None of these pictures have had any PP.

Not in the rose gardens, but still loved the picture.

One of the flowers on a cactus in the arboretum.

This was at the rose garden part of the arboretum. I think this is the favorite of the trip!
