I agree - that grain is a classic look, that makes that shot seem out of the past. Very cool use of grain and B&W there.

I got the rare perfect day this past weekend - very deep blue skies, super-clear air, cooler, and sunshine sunshine. No haze, no pollution, no high humidity. It made for some lovely skies, excellent light, and beautiful blue reflections on the swampy waters that turn them glassy and mirrorlike - so the birding was particularly nice. I was shooting both the DSLR and A6000 - here are a few of the shots from the A6000 & FE70-200mm F4 G OSS lens combo:

Snowy egret flying past and calling out:

Gang of sandhill cranes walking in the shallows:

Tricolor heron flying by low over the water, and his own reflection:

Basilisk lizard peeking out from a fern branch:

Huge American white pelicans grooming:

Chris - that night shot of the houses through the trees is very cool - the purplish light gives it a very ghostly look and I love the fog-like snowfall in long exposure.
