Jersey Skiffs race on Onondaga Lake near Syracuse, NY. I was on the course in an official's boat which had drifted a bit closer than normal. This was taken at 130mm using the Nikon 70-200VR lens at 1/1000th of a second.

Keeping the theme of birds on water (sort of) here's the 5.0 Liter Stock hydroplane Big Bird (E-30) cruising at around 100mph at Syracuse Hydrofest last weekend. Taken with a Nikon 70-200VR f/2.8 lens at 1/1000s, f/5 and 200mm focal length. Cropped for composition.
