On the beach Saturday and was able to witness the lowering of the flag. At first he didn't get it, but after explaining it to him I'm thinking he will never forget it.
Thanks Shawn and Wen!! ... if you want to see the whole gallery of pics I took that day they are here: http://rewindtime.smugmug.com/Close-to-Home/Wellsville-Rodeo/12451765_8mLMY#891671432_d2uXZ I took them at the Wellsville PA Frontier Days Rodeo held every year on Memorial Day. They have another one coming up on Labor Day. I am hoping to be able to go back and take some more shots. It was definately an action packed day with tons of photo ops.
Thanks again Shawn. I tried to keep my shutter speed about 1/100th sec. and used ISO 200 and 400 most of the time. Luckily it was a bright day and I had enough light to be able to keep the shutter speed pretty fast with a low ISO. They have another rodeo at the same place Labor Day and I am planning on going back and maybe walking around the grounds and getting more general candids and shots of the cowboys/girls prepping for their turn in the arena. Its one thing I wished I had done with this one but I was alone and didn't want to lose my good spot in the bleachers. Good luck and can't wait to see some posts of what you captured. Based on some of the shots of yours posted here I am sure you will have some great ones!
