Were you able to take a tripod up with you? I had my gorillapod and saw the sign for no tripods allowed so took it back to my car because I didn't want to have to make the walk twice as I was running late for a dinner and have trouble walking. I was pretty disappointed that I didn't have it with me as my pictures didn't turn out as well as I had hoped.
That is beautiful and I wished I could take pictures like that.
Thanks. Now, what makes you think you can't take a photo like this one?
none of mine have that wow, or pop quality.
I seem to miss something all the time.
Pick a photo of yours that didn't turn out the way you experienced the scene and start a new critique thread. You'll get folks make suggestions on what they would have done differently, which in turn gives you ideas for your next opportunity.
If you don't want to put yourself out there for a critique, just look at your photo and ask yourself what you don't like about it, and what you could do different the next time.
