I think you have a future as a writer............good job xo

I loved the Amy Winehouse reference

We took our toddler to the the Halloween festivities at Downtown Disney. Here are a few shots:

Oh you did what we did, bought the jet pack to add to the "costume." (I swear boys get the raw end on costumes) What an adorable Buzz! Ours was the only one we saw and everyone quoted lines at him and he'd respond by pushing a button to respond back.

My pics aren't that great, couldn't get my kids to stand in the open shade to save my life.

Sun flare is on purpose here. If I wasn't so lazy I'd clone out the liner in the planter and whatever that is in front:

My rocker, it makes me sad this is probably her last year:

Wen, what a coincidence...both of our Buzzes appear to have the same treat bucket! You can see it in my second image where our toddler is pretending to fly around. It's black material, says "Trick or treat" in orange with a ghost (I think) and collapses flat via a spiral coil on the inside.

We got our little guy's costume at Party City and bought the wings in the toy section at Target. They have gloves, too, but we didn't think they'd fit our little guy or they'd bee too heavy for him to wear all day. We also got him a new pair of Buzz sneakers that light up when he runs to wear with his costume; the colors went perfectly with his costume. I think DW got 'em at Payless. I was tempted to go dressed as Woody.

Too funny, they are the same! Great minds eh? DS had to settle for his Lightning McQueen shoes. I had actually thought of dressing DD as Jesse because of her red hair but she's all about the Princesses.

O...M...G... my boy has the same Lightning McQueen sneakers! They're black, have LM on the side, on the side of the bottom rubber part of the shoe it has tires, like the shoe itself were a little car. That's one of my boy's other favorite Disney characters. Great minds and all that.

I was surprised not to see more Disney costumes at DTD. There was one little girl dressed as Woody (not Jessie); I wish I had taken a picture of her with our little Buzz. Your little red-headed princess is adorable. Is that a Snow White costume? Because of her fair skin and dark hair my wife has a Snow White thing going on. We take pictures of her holding Snow White stuff all the time, and her email address has Snow White in it. Another coincidence.

I thought of this thread today when we made a little trip to Delaware for the annual Pumpkin Chunkin event. If you've never heard of it, basically people with too much time and money create giant cannons to shoot pumpkins literally thousands of feet across corn fields. It's held every year the weekend after Halloween. Here's a few shots of the cannons......

Yes, this cannon is mounted inside a school bus......

During a 'free for all' session, they brought out this truck for the contestants to shoot.

Notice the holes? The pumpkins actually go through the truck.

This cannon had just shot a pumpkin about 1400 feet if I recall correctly.

I liked the silhouette.....

OOOOOHHHH Punkin Chunkin. We used to go there, it was along the highway near where my parents lived in DE. SO neat. Nice photos.:flower3:

Let's see those Halloween pictures! We did our usual garage studio shoot of trick-or-treaters as they came through. It was a lot of work and a lot of fun. I changed up my lighting this year. I used this "v-flat rebound" technique for my lighting because it seemed like an easy way to get even light across poorly posed groups quickly. It worked reasonably well. I love the look of the light, but I had too much light on my background. I'll have to rearrange a few things for next year.

Here are my boys:

Nothing Disney this year, next year for sure.

Here are a few from tonight's Trick or Treat. Props to my wife on the handmade Princess Leia costume!!!

We had a major catastrophe this year since my youngest left her Halloween costume at school on Friday. So we had to come up with a new one over the weekend.
