photo sharing: fireworks

our small town had their fireworks display last night so I got out the tripod, set the 2 sec timer , adlusted my shutter speed and hoped for the best. This is what I got. Now the the public utility people would stop putting their wires in my pictures I would get some nice shots. I definitely know I need a remote for my camera, but you work with what you have.

If your camera has a manual focus option, you may want to try manually focusing and set the focus to infinity (or very close) - that will help for next time; it looks like your camera was trying to focus on the utility lines rather than the fireworks.
