Photo package?

Is the photo package at Universal like the one at Disney - meaning are there plenty of photographers just hanging around randomly to take pictures? I have never worried about them before but taking grandkids this year so will want some better pictures than I can take. Never paid attention to characters being out and about - are they out at Universal? Or are there places that they tend to hang out at, i.e. in front of rides

Hi, I don't know if it has improved but I went in April 16 and tried the package as we had it a disney and loved it. It was great for the on ride photos but as for photos around the park there wasn't a huge amount of photographers. It could be that we missed them as we did find, unlike the Disney PhotoPass Photographers who really stand out, they kind of blended into the crowd so you could just mistake them for another guest with a camera.

The Universal photo people have bright yellow cameras. They were at the entrances and a few other strategic locations, as well as the "permanently stationed" meet and greets (Spiderman, Raptor Encounter, Transformer meet), and a few queue lines as well as the on ride photos.
