I think it is really unfair that AP holders get a better one than anyone else. Everyone put in their day of service and should be treated equally!

I guess they could have offered the free hat instead of a park ticket. I think they were trying to give the AP holders something cool since they dont' need the free entry. Many AP holders I know that are doing this are going to apply their free ticket to their ap renewal

You can get the free hat if you have a park hopper too, not just an AP - but the AP's get a better one than the regular folk.

Fair is not equal... I am sure someone will sell theirs on Ebay....I would rather get a $72 gift card, but such is life. I think it is GREAT that anyone gets anything! What an amazing way to give back to the country!

I have no idea which I am going to get yet !!!

That was my original plan, but since there is a renewal window... and I will be there in May and late October it won't work.

That's what I had planned too but they told me since I am an AP holder I can NOT use my GADGAD voucher to get in on an AP blackout day. (I called the GADGAD hotline number).

Really? You can't just pretend you don't have an AP and just go get a one day ticket? I don't mean use it to buy a blackout ticket, but just use it for a day ticket. Or, are you in the system as an AP holder so they won't give you the free day ticket? If so we'll just pay the 45 each for that day ( I looked it up), I guess, and get a figurine and maybe the fast passes. (we'll have 2 vouchers, one for me and one for DH)

Ohh yeah. For us, our APs expire December 2nd, but since the voucher needs to be redeemed by December 15th, we're going to do it sometime before the 2nd. I believe you have 30 days before your AP expiration to redeem your voucher. Something like that.

I know we're in the system with our APs so they'll see that our GADGAD voucher info matches the names and address of what's already on file I'm sure.

If you mean the birthday fun card, I believe you cannot use that toward the purchase of tickets. Someone correct me if I'm wrong?
