Photo editing before and afters.

anything that would be a waste of space for raw?..ie we are going to a bunch of gardens ( can't help myself...i love flower pics ) so would the color be better there in raw? just got a newsletter about it and like fitzperry kind of "ignored it for now" but me with my 8.5 gb for vacation might reserve a card for it and would like to use it where i'd notice it most...flowers( macro some)? mt.landscape? beach stuff? city stuff? any suggestions?

Waste of space for RAW? I cant think of anything, if I shoot it may as well keep all the data.

Would the color be better? Well with a proper conversion it should at least be equal and could leave room for much improvement depending on the subject.

Still confused here. My photoshop skills are very lacking, imo. Under those circumstances would you still recommend shooting in RAW?

Very simple color fixes can be found all over the web, and sometimes I find that with just the WB adjustment in PS, that is all I need to fix a RAW photo. PS has free DL for RAW converters, and there are also some free links on the web.

Wondering if a Mod wants to split this RAW conversation into a new thread? Looks like we have a lot of good discussion here and the original poster was looking for more edits.
