Last weekend, the Comicon Wagon rolled in to town! I think I got a few more to post for the Disney Songbook Collection.


Almost There An hour before the doors opened, the crowd was already snaking back and forth!

As is the case with these events, there were a number of celebrities in town. We were rather Charmed this year!

When You Wish Upon a Star Shannon Doherty was a very popular guest during the 2-day event.






Everybody has a Laughing Place Holly Marie Coombs and Brian Krause had the audience in stitches!







Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride I'm really stretching this category; but there is no doubt that Tia Carrere is Hawaiian and, as the voice of Nani, has the Lilo and Stitch connection. She sure took us for a ride with her Q&A session and told us that Disney approached her to play Mulan whilst she was on location filming True Lies. Her agent never told her until too late; and she was still lamenting the missed opportunity. She even sang us Aloha 'Oe during her session. What a missed opportunity it was indeed!

Yesterday we went out to the North Fork of Long Island and went out on our friends boat. Here are some more from the Disney Songbook Collection:

"I see the Light" - the Long Beach Bar Lighthouse. AKA as the Bug Light. It stands at the entrance to Orient Harbor.

It's not easy to take clear shots on a bouncing, moving boat with my iphone!

I was so excited the other day when I saw a 3 wheeled motorcycle with a sidecar. I was driving with no camera though.

Finally have some pictures loaded and ready to go. The first round I have been looking at the Disney song list. I went beyond titles and also looked at lyrics

This is from When I See an Elephant Fly - saw a baseball bat. I have been taking pictures of my grandson playing since he started as a little guy. Since I also coach it isn't an easy task at times. I know this was late April but it is a favorite as I captured the ball hitting the bat


Reflection - I loved the way the turtles reflection played under the water

Colors of the World - the heron and otter are my friends. I have a Great Blue Heron that has toyed with me for 3 years. He flies so low that I could get a great pic and I don't have my camera or I can't get him in focus. I was thrilled when I managed to get this heron


One Little Spark Imagination gave me some real thought. As I was driving to vacation I was looking at the clouds and realized it was the perfect way to show imagination. I loved to watch the clouds roll by and see shapes as a kid. This just looked like a side view of a dog - maybe Lady.


I have more to come but this is a start.

Thanks Princess. I am terrified of birds but love taking pictures of them. I am still hoping to get a good shot of a heron in flight. It has been my goal for several years if they would just cooperate.

So...when I was looking at the Disney songbook, I debated between When I see an Elephant Fly and Pink Elephants on Parade.

I figured it was more likely for us to see Elephants Fly than to find Pink Elephants on Parade.

Have a few to add just don't know where to begin. I have really loved doing these hunts over the last few years and we had dragonfly on the list one year. I have been trying to perfect them ever since.

A to Z: "D" the dragonfly




One thing I have learned with taking pics of the dragonfly is patience. They will keep coming back to the same area. I had people at the zoo looking in an empty exhibit and then looking at me like I was a little crazy but it paid off with the second picture.

Another picture I'm always looking for is the 3 wheeled motorcycle.

under "S" - Splash. My DGD has been on the swim team at our pool and I am getting better at pics. This was a favorite this year


From the where I live list

Public Transportation - This is the Philly Phlash. The best way to get around my downtown area. I get a one day pass for all public transportation then when I get downtown I jump on and off the Phlash. It travels the historic district, up to the museums and then travels on to the zoo. The only way to travel


A favorite fountain. This is at the entrance of our Zoo and has always been a favorite


A monument - this is in Washington Square and is dedicated to the Revolutionary War. I just came upon it this year. I have lived in Philadelphia my whole life and am still discovering things


And a flower from my area - I have no idea what it is but it was very interesting and in the square where the monument is


I have more to come just trying to decide what category to list them under.
