Phoning home question

I'm officially in panic/excitement/mania mode. So excuse me for the insane questions which may appear from time to time

I will be buying a phone card on arrival in FL at my grocery stop. Can I use it from my hotel room phone?

I have used them in the past from a villa phone but is it any different when using the hotel room telephone?

Most hotels should be ok but a few block 1 800 numbers or charge for em

Mostly though you should be ok.

Oh well, we can try anyway. I'm sure it'll work out ok even if the hotel does charge a little more on the card. Just one of those panic moments I had on the countdown to flying out.
