Do you not trust the person you rented from?? I ask that because the logical thing would be to ask your member this question - not a bunch of strangers. But, the replies you've gotten are correct - member service will not talk to you. You don't exist to them - you're simply the guest of the member. Member services will only talk to members....same thing goes for the resort, until after you've checked in.
When renting points the only assurance you have that your reservation exists when you arrive is the member's word. The only assurance the member has that you won't do something he'll be held responsible is your word. The transaction requires trust on both sides.
