Phone interviewer 40minutes late??? (and counting)

Ive been waiting since 8:30 for my phone call....its now 9:10 is this normal??

Wow that seems a bit long... The longest I've waited is like 4 minutes. But hopefully by the time I've posted here they've called

No, its now been an hour.. i dont really know how Im supposed to feel about this...I can't even expect a call at 9:30...its almost at the point where it would be more rude TO call me..

I just called the office, and its closed. Really don't even know what to be thinking right now, Ive been stressing all day over this interview.

I'm so sorry you are going through this, and nothing I say is going to make you feel good about the situation. But I hope you just had an inconsiderate interviewer that mixed things up, or even had some kind of emergency to deal with. Get a good night's rest, and call the office first thing in the morning. Hopefully it will all work out in the end!

I really dont know what to do when I call them though. I made the appointment for tonight because that was the best time for me to have it. Now Im staying up waiting to see if they call me at 11:30 (was confirmed 8:30 est, but at this point...who knows?) and Ive got a midterm tomorrow morning.

Hopefully a couple months from now I'll be laughing about it in Central Florida....or SoCal...lol

So after finally falling asleep..I got an email from them at about 12 saying they tried calling me and noone answered???

Edit 1:
They said they are no longer considering me for this opportunity. If I wish to re-schedule I have to call within 24 hours. This is so messed up they never even called me and when I tell them that its going to be my word against theirs. I want this internship so bad

Edit 2: Office opens at 8, I called at 8:01, woman answered the phone and was very nice to me. She re-scheduled my appointment for Sunday the 23rd at 10:30 (I get off work at 10, so hopefully I dont have MORE problems haha) I asked her if this was going to hurt my chances and she said "Oh it better not!". That was very relieving

I have had interviewers late by 30 min or so before but never that long... I was once about 10 min late for an interview, it was a place I had never been to and I passed the turn because the sign was covered from the snow we got the night before. I got that job though so didn't really hurt my chances.

Ive never had something like this happen lol. I had her verify my number today and it was correct. I had the confirmation email and everything...its so weird that they sent me an email saying they called and I didnt answer...

Are you using a landline or cell? If its a cell do you normally get good service/reception? I get excellent reception but sometimes ill have a voicemail from a family member or friend and I never even heard the phone ring and all my phone was doing was sitting on the couch! I hope all goes well for you!!!

The main number I gave was my house number, and I gave them my cell as a backup (which yes I usually get very good service!) Very baffled lol

haha ok so final update....My mom went to make a phone call on the home phone and it was dead...we just got off the phone with Cablevision and they will be sorting that out tomorrow...I spose that explains a lot!

I hope everything works out for you! My call was 10 minutes late, and I was freaking out that they wouldn't call! I can't imagine waiting that long.

haha I was pretty upset but honestly to find out thats what the problem was, was REALLY relieving. I was left clueless wondering if someone just SAID they called me and never actually did...so now I have it all set up I was already a little worried because how late I applied/am interviewing though, the extra week just adds to that a little bit haha

It was also really great to see how nice the woman at the office was when I called, that kind of left me wanting my interview even more
