phone cards

Can anyone tell me how to call the mainland from the ship? What phone cards can you purchase here that work? My 16 year old daughter is concerned about talking to the boyfriend.

I don't think you can use any phone cards on the ship phone....
I think it is credit card only???

We had to call on shore w/ international calling cards on our 4 night cruise.....You can buy them at Wal-Mart, etc.

Call DCL to verify, but I don't believe you can use any cards on the ship phone....

A ship to shore call is very expensive..I would call DCL and get the rates.

I want to say it was $6.95 per minute.

If I recall correctly, it is $6.95 per minute from the ship and the receiver of the call also gets billed the same! It is really only for emergencies. She might want to use the internet to chat. Computers are usually available at the Internet Cafe on board. You can pay as you go or get a package deal. I think this is the most cost efficient way to do it. Check a recent navigator for rates.
