How are you doing this morning?:scared1::headache:

Governor Jan Brewer just declared a state of emergency in affected areas. The flooding is unbelievable. We're northwest of Phoenix and have seen over three inches of rain. All the area schools are closed for the day. I know some neighbors who left early for work, but had to turn around and go back home due to flooded roads. Sections of I-10 are completely flooded.

Sky Harbor Airport has received the most rain in one day since 1939. Yikes! And, wouldn't you know it, my husband is supposed to fly out of Sky Harbor this afternoon. I don't think he can even get to the airport, although, he insists he's going to try.:headache: The water is starting to recede in areas, but the forecast is calling for more rain later today.

I know there are much bigger concerns, but I wonder if any of this will affect Monday Night Football tonight?!?!? The game is being played here at the University of Phoenix Stadium. If you are in the Phoenix area, stay safe (and dry!) everyone!

I called out of work today, especially after seeing the I 10 shut down.

Fun isn't it?
DDIL took an hour to get to daycare to find it closed because of interior water damage.
So, I have DGD today. DDIL made it back to work.
DD works in San Tan Valley......lots of diversions, roads closed. She called for me to look at a map to get her to school :rotfl: She made it.

My pool overflowed. Our back yard is flooded as are most of the streets around us.
But, having come from WA, we're used to floods. At least it is warm and we haven't lost power.

It is definitely a mess out there. It took me over an hour to get from Chandler to Tempe this morning with roads flooded and street lights out...YUCK! ASU is still having classes although I see that MCC cancelled theirs. However, this place is basically a ghost town.

I'm hoping it lets up at least until about 5:00pm (that's when I'm safely home from work :thumbsup2)

Stay safe out there if you have to go anywhere.

The grocery store where I usually shop is closed due to a collapsed roof.

Phoenix was 3 inches behind on its year-to-date rain totals. Who knew that they'd make up for it in one morning?

DH is telecommuting and we haven't lost electricity, so we're good.
