Philly to Charlottesville, VA

anyone have any ideas on a route from Philly to Charlottesville, VA - avoiding Washington DC? Don't mind driving out of our way.

Staying at the KOA there for a week in August - any thoughts of must-sees other than the obvious (Monticello, Michie Tavern, etc...) would be helpful too.

Head over to I-81 and follow it south to I-64.

We always take I-81 south to avoid the DC/Baltimore corridor.
