Philly Airport Marriott

Hi,
Got a pretty good rate (Govt. Rate) for the night before we fly out, and was curious if anyone has stayed there before, and if so, how was it.

Can't comment on the rooms, but the 3 times we flew out of PHL we stopped at their downstairs restaurant for a Bon Voyage party. Great sandwiches, I recommend the Reuben, and a good selection of brews, all reasonably priced, considering where you are.

It's a very nice hotel. I would recommend staying there. Stayed there several times.

I have stayed there many times before, the latest being in August. It has always been very nice and I look forward to staying there again.

I have direct experience with this hotel!

My youngest daughter (age 4 at the time) and I were bumped off a late night flight from PHL to CLT, on our way back from NYC...

Since we were non-revenue travelers, we had a very low boarding priority, and there were literally 43 people ahead of us, on the senority list...

Needless to say we did not get boarded, and ended up staying at the Marriott Hotel PHL Airport overnight, until we could get a flight out the next morning.

I can remember that it was a very nice hotel, spacious rooms, attached to the airport via an enclosed and elevated 'bridge.' Staff was excellent, very responsive, and gave us an airline rate of 60% off regular rates...

They made a not-so-good situation turn out rather fun! I would definitely stay there again...
