Jodi - I have been checking the NYRR site obsessively. I think your trip idea sounds awesome. I would love to drive cross country some day.
Colleen - I hope you are having another happy day!
Howard - Great job on the grades. Enjoy your graduation weekend!
Dave - I'm glad you liked Wicked.
Sara - I'm sorry you are still in pain.
You should run some shorter races. I bet you'd get some great times.
His IT Band has still been bothering him, but he's been resting, icing, and foam rolling. I'm hoping he makes it through the marathon. He was so disappointed in how MCM went (he had to walk the last half because of his calf). I told him my only goal for this race was that we both be in ok enough shape to enjoy the free beer at the end (because that definitely was not the case at MCM).
Sorry, that totally sucks. That's happend to me before so that now I copy the text of any long post so that I can paste it into a new post if my computer eats it. I hope your achilles gets better soon.

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to sit around on my fat beehind all summer.

Lou -

when I just wanna
today. Let's just say the doctor's appt was as expected. I saw a slew of pics of my knee took during the scope that show it is real messed up as far as severe damage due to improper tracking. Advanced arthritis, serious concerns, yada, yada, yada. I told him that today I really don't care about that since I can't think straight with the agonizing tendon pain. Then he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about
. I told him to look at the MRI report
. He still wants to think it's nerve damage but he did give me an Rx for some 7 day mega anti-inflammatory pack. If no relief within 3 weeks then I'll get some cortisone in there. I need serious relief from the current problem before I can even care about the long-term prognosis with respect to running again.
.
. Travel safe
.
. Is swimming under the influence of narcotics dangerous
?
, a Chi-lovin' Dodo
and Dave.
but, alas, Microsoft Outlook does not provide me with such options . . .
. I was thinking of you when mowing the lawn today. Only the front, didn't feel like starting the tractor up for the back (sometimes we need to jump it). Usually Bruce does the hand mowing, but since he vacuumed today while I was @ work
. It reminds me of when Jodi wanted to do that 100 mile relay race
and rent a van.
I may just go w/ Spencer & I & leave everyone else at home!!
. No new doc, just a physical therapist. They do rehab and help you balance out muscles so the knee tracks better
Just explain you are not investing in some National Park 401K...IT'S A TRIP!; you know: bonding, experiencing stuff
...that would be $0.75 a gallon more.
..dats nuttin' in the big scheme of things. GO ALREADY!
