Hello fellow McPhillyBots

Mike - Welcome back!! How far is Hershey from you? I remember going there when I was a kid & my parents getting me a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup, bright, organge sweater @ night when it got cold:goodvibes . Ahh, good memories...I'm sure I spilled something on it later though & got yelled at:rotfl: . Last time I went on a spinny ride was about 8 years ago @ the BIG E. It was one of those little Strawberry things for little kids', so I took my DS (then 5) on it & proceeded to vomit all over the grass next to the ride when it was done. We were by ourselves & my poor DS thought I was dying or something:laughing: . Anyhow...how's training?

Cindy - You are SO my hero for getting up this a.m. & running:yay: :woohoo: . Working until 11 is like a get of jail (or running) free card & I would have used that as an excuse not to get out of bed (like I need one). Kudos for gittin' 'er done!! What's up with the relatives? Tell them to pound pavement!, already...need me to call 'em?;)

WanderingChester - Be careful so far down south, they don't like people like you.down there...you know, normal:lmao: (OK, stop seething, all you lurkers from the south, I hate everyone equally!) Travel safely & run if you can, but be careful.

Sara - I hate your Doctor...do you have his phone #? so I can let him know you need to get in there a bit sooner?? Hey that'd be cool if you could meet Lou for a run (you know, give us the inside scoop on what he's like);)

Lou - Oh, hi, there...um...if you do go running with Sara, don't feel bad if she scowls @ you, puts her ipod on & totally ignores you:eek: That means everything's status quo!

My Tall Depressed Canadian - Hey now, stop it, only i can be a total depressed dork, not you, you're my rock of gibraltar w/ all your positive talk.

That's weird...does your husband not being there REALLY get you down? Hmmm...very interesting...and how long do you say you've been married? Uh-huh...yes, very strange indeed. Perk up, woman. I think a trip down to Disney is what you need!! Can you say MINNIE??

Steve - I saw a guy that looked like you @ the health food store the other day buying hummus:confused3 . He was drawing directions for some dopey lady on how to find the bathroom. Seriously though, this cloning thing has got to stop, dude? Gettin' warm up there yet?

Dave - How's the hip?:confused3

OK, ran 8 Sun. 40 CT yesterday w/ walking dog & boy, & 5 today. I emailed the dude from the ultra to ask some specifics, as I've gotten NO correspondence since I signed up...nothing in the mail, no emails, SQUAT. So I asked what's at the aid stations & he says "water, gatorade, coke & sprite/mountain dew". Should I be nervous now? What the heck did I sign up for??? SODA? Obviously I won't even be getting a cheesy Hanes t-shirt for running this thing...:scared1: Oh my nerve!

Quick post while I eat (I am starving today!)

I'm in a pretty crabby mood. I think its the relatives. But they leave tomorrow:banana: I didn't get to bed until almost midnight last night because of having to entertain people. And then I had to get up at 5 so that I could run 8 miles (It was a decent run). My aunt made some comment this morning about thanks for giving me your cold!:scared1: Seriously? I wanted to make some nasty comment about that's what you get for being too cheap to get a hotel, but I didn't.

Mike - are you thinking about doing the half in Leesburg? Are you still thinking about doing the Army Ten Miler?

Jodi - at least when you finish the 50k, you can have a soda while laughing at the people who still have to run additional laps around the lake to finish the 100k.

Hi to everyone else. Gotta get back to work so I can get out of here at a reasonable hour to entertain my guests. What fun!

Gotta make this quick as I am playing hookie from the pharmacy for a few minutes to use the non-Gestapo computer in the L&D waiting room.

Hi everyone!

Cindy - I'm very impressed with you getting your runs in with all the chaos in your house!

I am going to do the half in Leesburg. I'll probably sign up tomorrow or the next day. How about you?

Jodi - Hershey is about 3hrs away from us.

I'm sure you'll at least get a T-shirt, no?

Colleen - Hey Chickie! We're getting a warm spell for a couple of days. How about you?

I ran a quick 6 miles today. Have 6 nice and easy on tap for Thursday and 12 for the weekend. That may end up being Monday or Tuesday next week by the look of weekend activities. We'll see. I'm feeling pretty much no pressure to get any runs in, so it's all good.

O.K. I really have to go.

Hi guys, remember me???!!!!! Just wanted to pop in here and say  and check up on everyone. I have not been a very good Wisher lately. :sad2: I've got in a whopping 3.5 miles in for the month of April and probably only 20ish miles for March, if that. Oh, well! Getting back into half marathon shape after August is going to be FUN!!! :thumbsup2

It sounds like everyone is doing really great and keeping up with their training. I miss everyone and will be back to running and posting regularly soon!!!

Krista

Oh, Sara, I sent you a PM.

:rotfl: Mike, you are such a bad-a**, no wonder they took away your surfing privileges in the pharmacy.:lmao:

Hi Krista!

A girl, I think you allowed to take it easy during your pregnancy.:thumbsup2 I read you felt the baby move, that is SO cool! I think about you and Stephen often, I hope everything is going well and you are not too tired. The third trimester just wore me out, I actually had to reduce my teaching load to 1/2 time the last 8 weeks of both pregnancies.

Hey Krista!!

Good to hear from you. I hope you and the baby are doing fine.

Please tell your DH to get his sorry tail on here once in a while. Is he still doing Cleveland?

I may just have to get over on the Bunny thread to ask him a few questions if he continues to snub us!

Take care and continue to po in now and again (The running part isn't really that important over here. We all just hang out to find out what sort of ridiculous junk Jodi can come up with!)

Krista - Well hello there, mama!! Glad that you're feeling great! Take it easy the next few months & enjoy the pregnancy, if that's possible:lmao: I'll be running the 1/2 in Jan, too! Maybe I can ignore you again if I see you on the course somewhere;) ! Tell Steve I say hi!

Mike - Stay away from the scary computer police:badpc: , they'll hurt you & take your birthday away. Don't they know getting on the boards is the only reason why you go to work? sheesh. Nice job on the 6 miles:thumbsup2 , wish I could run like YOU! You know, if I don't get a t-shirt outta this deal, there's gonna be problems:mad: .

Colleen - Did you make any ressies for the free dining? How're you feeling lately - lost the rainy day-blues, yet? I booked 4 nights for us in August @ AllStar Movies...not sure we'll go, but we'll see.

Cindy - Has Aunt Gertrude left yet????:rotfl: Does she have lots of moles with hairs growing out of them, too? EEEWWW:scared1: My relatives don't even CALL me, let alone suggest a visit!

Chester - You haven't been kidnapped by a family what owns a butcher shop & has a big bubba, chain saw carrying, leather mask wearing feeble-minded byproduct of interfamilyrelations heathen working for them, have you?

Hi all other bots!:yay:

No running yesterday, just another 2 mile walk with boy & dog. I'll run today...it's gonna hit 70. I've been thinking lately (thought you smelled something burning, huh?) and have come to the conclusion that my entire life has been one massive taper!!:rotfl: . The only problem is, I never did anything early on in life to warrant such a winding down kind of spiral that my life has become...Oh well! This has been philosophy 101 by Jodi:eek: .

I think I have truly missed my calling in life..I should be a motivational speaker, huh?

Hey, can some of my WISHER Bots sign up for the DCL Cruise in Feb. '09 that my family's going on? It's during President's Week. When you book it, be sure not to ask about prices.

Awe, I am very tempted, but we are back to school August 24th...and DS11 will be starting middle school. But since Labor Day is September 1st, I could try August 29th - September 1st. What are your dates????

Why, ASMovies and not POP?

Also, feeling much better, thank you for asking!

THE 24TH - THE 29TH!!:3dglasses But not sure we're gonna go..

No, I didn't make it all the way to Texas. But, I think I did hear some Dueling Banjo music in the Bayou's of Alabama.

I didn't run while I was away and ended up gaining a couple of pounds from eating too much crawfish, oysters and boudan. Back into running tonight with a 3 mile progressive split run. Sunday I'm going to help out with a local 10k

Minnie is getting close.

Good training to all,

Chester,
W.I.S.H. Half-Fast Marathon Team

Glad you're out of that funk! ASMovies is cool, I stood there once a long time ago when boy was 4 & loved the movies theme. We stayed @ POP 2 years ago during free dining & it was fine & all, just liked Movies better, unless that's changed.

Glad you're home safe!! Good luck with your run tonight, a 3-mile progressive split run sounds very interesting...:confused3

Bayous are scary...did I ever tell you guys how we were in New Orleans visiting the weekend that Hurricane Katrina hit? We were lucky to get out b4 mass hysteria ensued!

...feeble-minded byproduct of interfamilyrelations...
Hey! Go easy on Cindy's family. They may have decided to stay longer and could be reading over her shoulder now!

Also, feeling much better, thank you for asking!
Self massage?? Nice!

I'm not sure, but I think we have ressies somewhere for half of August. I vaguely recall Kathy making some calls about the bounce-back rates when we were there in January.

On the running front: I guess the 2 fast runs earlier this week and the 20 degree rise in temps today ended up making my 6 "easy" miles somewhat, well, not easy! But, 6.4 in the books and a rest day tomorrow.

Take care, everyone!

I am not going to touch the self massage comment. See Colleen waving her long bony schoolmarm finger at you!

OK, I will bite on the August trip, do I need to PM Kathy to find out when you are going??? Huh, huh?? Jodi won't change her dates on the trip she probably won't be taking, but maybe we can convince her to come down a few weeks earlier!:thumbsup2

Hi all. Short post again. Need to go to bed. Ran 5 this morning. So that's three days in a row 5-8-5. My knees are not so happy about that. But tomororw is a rest day:banana: I'm supposed to run 8 on Sat. and 18 on Sun, but Matt and I are thinking of doing some forced speedwork (aka a race) of the 8k distance on Saturday instead.

We have the house to ourselves again - all relatives have vacated:banana: (although due to various flight cancelations, the aunt and uncle never made it back to Seattle tonight and are stuck in Detriot - can't tell you how happy I am that they are not stuck here!)

BTW - I'll be in Disney August 17-24!

Cindy - Too bad about Aunt Gertrude getting stuck in East Bum****:rolleyes1 ...so far from the comforts of your home! Nice running the past few days, I'm impressed. Good luck on that race Sat. to you & DH. Go easy & don't anger the knee:headache: , oh, & get some sleep! If you're leaving Disney on the 24th perhaps we'll see eachother @ the airport (if we go) .

Mike - My little run was kinda heinous yesterday, too. That temp of 70 left me feeling a little sluggish:confused3 , hey, at least you got it in! Let me know when you & Kathy & kiddies are going in Aug, perhaps we'll be alble to wave to eachother through the window of passing busses.

Colleen - :lmao: I can just imagine your scary, teacher-like finger scolding Mike @ his insinuations, someones gotta keep him in line!! That'll be such an exciting trip in June, it's great going to WDW w/ people that've never been.

Is everyone else busy w/ real life?:confused3

I ran a little yesterday...

Uh, no takers on signing up for the cruise in Feb?:confused3

Krista - Hi. :wave2: You definitely get to take it easy while pregnant. That is certainly my future plan.:thumbsup2

My relatives don't even CALL me, let alone suggest a visit!

That's the thing - they don't ever call and they never visited the first 8 years I lived in DC (when I lived in dorms, tiny studios, or with roommates). It was only when they heard that I bought a 2 bedroom condo that they started visiting. Now in the past 3 and a half years, they've been here 3 times! They are totally taking advantage of me for a free place to stay.

Colleen - I glad to hear that you are doing better. Is Minnie still a posibility for you?

Chester - glad you escaped the bayou.

Mike - I see that you registered for the half in Leesburg. I'm still a little on the fence.

As for the race on Saturday, I am not 100% committed to it yet. The prediction is for thunder storms, in which case I'll bag it.

Guess I should do some work.

Hi Everybody

Just a quick drive-by as I'm heading out the door for the weekend to help a friend build/repair things at the lake cottage his family recently purchased-- I know, some guys head to a game or a casino for a guys' weekend; I end up constructing walls and ripping up floorboards  I'll just call it XT. I'll check in Sunday night.

Have a great weekend everyone!
