the easiest kennel to get to from the BC is the Studios - you take a boat or walk and you are there - (the boat can be handed when you are tired)
however they don't have alot room for walking your pet
Epcot you can also walk to - but you need to go through Epcot so you would need to use a pass - or you get in your car and drive to the front....
Epcot kennel has lots of room to walk.
bring your own food, toys, blankets - anything that would make your pet more comfortable.
epcot will walk your pet for $2.50 per walk per day.
I don't use that service - Spicey (who is 17 years old and been going to WDW since he was 3 months) - I just don't trust others to take as good of care of him as I do - silly!
but I don't have any children or a husband - so Spicey gets all the attention.....
with dogs if they put your dog in a small cage and you want a bigger one - say so immediately!!!!
sometimes they have put dogs in the cat kennel - Spicey doesn't mind dog his size or smaller - bigger dogs no - So when they try that and I am there - I make sure that they attendent sees the sign even if I have to point it out several times -
a barking dog - no!!!
now there are list of outside kennels that you bring your pet too - if you don't care about visiting them when you are there.
WDW kennels needs you to visit your pet at least twice a day - if that is too much trouble then use an outside kennel - there are several that are top notch.
my problem with them is Spicey loves a night walk - the outside kennels generally close at 5:00pm - it is hardly dark then - so that won't work for him.
here is a site for outside kennel
http://www.abka.org/
you don't have join - just click on member kennels (in red in the letter) - then pick - WDW is in Lake Buena Vista - the closet city in Kissimmee, and then of course there is Orlando.
make sure your pet is up to date on his shots
if an outside kennel works for you then go with it - it will be alot less work for you - just depends upon what you want.
