Peter Pan's Flight-any scary bad guys?

My 5 yo daughter loves the princesses and fairies but is petrified of all bad guys, including Uusula and Gaston (hence, no MGM Mermaid or Beauty and the Beast shows). Does Peter Pan's Flight have any "bad guys"? Dark, loud, flashes are all okay. Just no bad guys!

Captain Hook is in it, but he's not close at all to your "pirate ship" you ride in. She should be ok. She can yell at him "hook is a cod fish" or something like that. I encouraged my DS & DD to do the same thing to the characters they didn't like (or were afraid of).

There are no bad guys that jump out or even really make an appearance. Captain Hook and Smee are in it, but they are down below and not doing anything sinister.

Yeah...this one is OK. Hook appears briefly on the deck of the pirate ship but he is being thwarted by Peter, and the music is happy and light spirited.

This is my DD4's favorite ride.....mine too!

You might be able to do the Beauty and the Beast show. It's a stage production and you can sit farther back. My 2 year old DD doesn't like Gaston but she had no problem with it at all. It's not like Ursula in Voyage of the Little Mermaid, where she seems big and close.

Hook gets a little close when he's in the Crocodiles Mouth, or rather straddling it. It's a comical scene from the movie though, and Hook is so garish looking, it's hard to be afraid of him anyway.

I agree. This is a perfect ride for little ones and she gets to feel like she's flying like Peter Pan! Cute ride and Captain Hook's appearances are not scary.

My kids loved this ride--was one of their fav.--and they are chicken of EVERYTHING!!! lol---they wanted to go in Haunted Mansion--we warned them it was scarey--but they didnt believe us because nothing else was---well, to put it mildly, I had to explain over and over that it wasnt real. But your little one will be fine on this ride!!!

Thanks, everyone. I told my wife that this site would come through. As a relative newbie, it still amazes me the Disney knowledge that exists here. This will be a first trip for my family - we leave Friday!

I'd also add the song "You Can Fly" is sweetly playing throughout the ride... I bet she'll love it! It's always been a family fav. for us!

There are scenes of Captain Hook, but it is not at all scary. It is a very peaceful and enjoyable ride-- one of my personal favorites!
