Peter Pan Queue - Worth the Waiting in Line?

I thought it was nice, but I wasn't blown away by it. I just really hate lines though so unless it's super early in the morning, we FP it.

I think it's worth a 15-20 minute wait, but it can be tough to get that at Peter Pan! Sometimes the wait jumps up really fast. But if you can time it right, or go right at rope drop and take your time through the queue, I would say yes, absolutely worth it.

We didn't care for the ride before we went through the queue, as the first time we rode we walked on. However, once we had to wait through the queue we were pleasantly surprised. I too wouldn't wait too long in the queue, but it does add to the overall experience, and I like it.

Agree with the other posters - 15-30 minutes would make it worthwhile. It amazes me that people wait in line for nearly 2 hours for this ride.

(But then I waited in line for FOUR hours for the Tomb Raider ride at King's Island which is essentially 3 rows of seats that spins you forward several times - head over feet - and then hangs you upside down while it shakes the money out of your pockets... literally... :D Although I only rode it that one time...)

No "interactive" queue is worth it. Disney has decided the best way to satiate the masses is to distract them in line instead of providing more attractions or adding capacity.

I always use the SB queue for Peter Pan. It is truly fun, and while I would not wait an hour, I always hit it first thing in the morning and enjoy every bit of it.

I never understood people waiting forever to ride this one either. After experience the queue, I was more willing to wait in line, but certainly not for the hour that people do. The ride + queue still do not make that wait worth it. But I'm not young, so perhaps I don't appreciate it.

The wait time is 70 minutes for this ride right now on MDE. It's seems like a long stand by time for this time of year. How accurate is the MDE app wait time? Do they "pad" the wait time due to the interactive queue?

No they do not. As PP mentioned, even stopping a bit to play in the queue doesn't increase the wait time as there is still a line outside the bedroom area. It's pretty rare for the line to get such a gap there is no wait to board.

As for how accurate MDE is, I'm going with not very. That's because I rarely see it match what the lines appear to be in the park. I think that's because of the delay between a line building the the wait time updating. They rely on those little red cards to be delivered. The wait time is only as accurate as the last card, which may or may not even remotely match real time. I do think it's close enough to give you an idea on if you want to get in line. most of the time

Also, today is a 7ish on the CL so it's not all that low right now. Summer runs about a 7 or 8 too

Interesting. We might go to it really late next time instead of using a FP on it (we probably wouldn't get there early enough as we usually enter MK around 1 hr after opening)

My 6 yo was actually disappointed when we had a fast pass that we didn't get to go through the cool house queue. It was very cool!

I just love the Peter Pan queue. While I wouldn't wait excessively long to see it, it is definitely worth a few minutes to take your time and enjoy all the little details. One other thing: I just love love that you don't touch everything! No sticky hands all over stuff! (sorry but I'm looking at you, Winnie the Pooh!) :)

To enjoy the queue and not have to wait in the long line, go to Peter Pan first thing at rope drop. You still get to go thru and see everything without standing and waiting in a line for a long amount of time. The best of both worlds!

I actually now like the interactive queue more than the ride itself!! But, I won't wait in line for anything more than 30 mins!

Hi all! I'm a former cast member who is coming to WDW at the beginning of February with my boyfriend who has never been to WDW.

I haven't been to the parks since the new interactive queue in Peter Pan's Flight was built - is it worth the wait to see what they've done with the queue, or should I just go with FastPass like I've done before? I normally enjoy a good queue - Haunted Mansion's is up my alley, but the one Soarin' had was pretty meh, so I know interactive queues can go either way.

Thanks!

It is a lovely queue. But I really don't get the hype that it is worth it to do standby. I went with my infant since the fam was on mine train. I think it was a 20 minute or so wait (just after rope drop and the wait to get mine train rider swap). And I found that pushing the limits of waiting just to see a queue.

So if you can hit it at rope drop or a short wait, worth it. I can't see justifying a 30-80+ minute wait for it.

It's on Youtube if you want a sneak peek.. I watched one minute ONLY out of five as I did not want to spoil the effect, but wanted to see if it was a queue I wanted to walk through.. I DO!!!!! :tink:
