I just read that PPF will be in rehab until March 11 2008. This is no good we leave on the 13 and we can't change our parks and ADR's now to work around that. I love this ride and can't believe they would do this during a busy season with Easter around the corner. I thought they usually do rehabs on off seasons like January and Febuary. What do you think the chance of it opening early?? I know they can sometimes.???

We were there in October 2007 and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was under rehab so we couldn't ride it. We were bummed.

They cant do all the rehabs during the off season time because then there would be far too many things closed druing those times. Haunted mansion was closed when we were there last year as was spaceship earth :-(

The info I read says it's closing Feb 28 - March 11. If you leave on Feb 13th, you should be fine, unless I'm misunderstanding you.

I just reread your message and I now think you mean you leave to come back home on Mar 13. Sorry!

I'm sorry you won't be able to ride it. But the times it will be closed won't be during a busy season. March 1 - 10 is listed as one of the "Wonderful Weeks of Disney" meaning that WDW considers it to be one of the slowest times of the year. It makes sense for them to rehab the ride during this time, before the busy Easter season begins. :goodvibes

If it reopens on March 11 and you don't leave until the 13th, you have the 11th and 12th to ride it, don't you? You say that you "can't" change your parks, but if it's a favorite and you really want to ride it, I would think that you could make a change (or add a "hop" over to MK early one morning) if you wanted to. You've got over a month to figure it out. Doesn't seem like an impossibility to me. (It's unlikely that it will open earlier -- Disney's gotten pretty good at figuring out how long it will take to rehab things.)

I would consider early March to be off-season not peak like spring break, summer, or the holiday season. I can understand why you're disappointed, but really, it's only to be expected. I've never been to Disney without them rehabbing SOMETHING while I was there. I personally prefer it that way. It gives me a built-in reason to come back again next year! :rotfl:

We just rode that ride last weekend and when we got off, I told my husband that it needed some refurbishment. Freaky. :cool1:

I can't wait to see the updates!

Things are always being refurbished at Disney. Yeah it can be a bummer when things are closed but there are always plenty of other great attractions to do. You never know but I doubt it'll open early.

On March 12th MK is open until 11:00, maybe you could rework your schedule abit and go over later in the evening?
