Ok...So, I'm up way too early (I don't have to be to work until NOON!) I should have slept in but DF's alarm woke me up!

Oh well. For all the times that I have woken him up with my alarm, I guess I deserve it
So, I thought I would spend sometime this AM figuring out what the deal is with photobucket and I found a way to beat the system...Apparently, it doesn't want to find things in iphoto. What ever, I figured it out.
So, last weekend I spend some time in NYC. It was an amazing trip and my cousin (DC) was AWESOME! On Friday our trip was pretty much dedicated to finding wedding stuff.

We went to Bryant Park-which I have to tell you was pretty cool. They had a free ice skating rink and then all of these little shops around the park. I saw one that was lined with ties. Now, this isn't the best tie in the world...but it's cute and goes with the black and white theme...That and it was $20....So, I thought what the heck...I got a new dress...the least I could do was get DF a new tie right? I sent him a text to see if he liked it...but he took too long to answer the text so...I bought it anyway...
His Tie
They were 2 for $25...I considered buying a second one...but decided against it. This one is fun and good enough...After all...this is for insurance purposes only! (more on that in a minute...did you think I'd get through this post without any drama!

)
Next, we spent the rest of the day in the fashion district. We went to MJ Trimmings...Now, that is an amazing trim shop...but I couldn't find much that I had to have. I was a bit disappointed b/c another Disbride had highly recommended the shop...it was cool....I loved the hand dyed ribbon...but I just couldn't find what I was looking for...Then, DC found some ribbon that had organza with satin strips thru it and started making ribbon flowers. I loved it! The problem at MJ was that you could only buy ribbon by the foot in most cases...I knew if I was going to make these ribbon flower things I was gonna need something cheap and a lot of it...after all practice makes perfect right?

We went from shop to shop most of the afternoon...We finally came across this roll of ribbon for $5!!!!
Ribbon
In one shop we say this flower as well...and I really like it...but think it might be too big for what I am going for...I figured if the ribbon flowers don't work, at least I have this as a backup...AND the best part was that it was only $5 too!!!
Hair Floral
So, now I have to attempt to make ribbon flowers...and if not...we will use the big flower...Anyone have any opinions? Thoughts are welcome on this...I'm thinking the big flower...The more I see it the more I love it...but we will see.
Now, the drama update. Originally, we (my mom, DF and I) were going to have the wedding at 7PM. We tried to call DF's mom and ask about this...Would it be too late for the grandparents? No answer on the phone. Fine. We made and executive decision. 7PM it was. I email DF's mom to confirm...and I get a pretty blunt unhappy email. AND then find out that oh...yeah...DF's mom...brother....sister and BIL are all coming as well...UM...that wasn't the plan! The plan was small....no people b/c they will be at Disney...I about flip...quietly...DF and I have fought about this enough...I was more worried about my parents...This is at their house...there isn't that much space no one from there families would be there...Oh this was going to be a disaster. SO...I send an email to my mom explaining the situation...I think she heard my apprehension in the tone of the email...which is hard to do sometimes...and emailed me back that it was ok we would work it out. THANK GOODNESS! I went to my parents house that night and hugged my dad and said "Thank you...but this sucks." My parents have both been very supportive and I can't appreciate that enough!

They even said if they were the only ones at the Disney wedding then so be it.
The following morning I woke up and called DF (he leaves for work at some ungodly hour...even though some days I have him beat on his leave time...and said..."You know what...Neither one of us are super happy about how all of this is playing out. So, lets go with wedding vow option #1. We will need to practice, but honestly, if people want to see the actual "vows" then they can come to Disney. Let's have fun with this!" He agreed that we can practice our vows and see how they turn out and go from there. (Again, PM me if you're interested...my mother found facebook...It would be my luck that she found this board and is reading along...

)
So, to date...most problems are at rest. However, the cake maker isn't sure she will have enough time to make the cake...and the photographer still needs to figure out how to get out of work a little early...

But that is just details at the moment...Oh and we might have to have the ceremony in the family room...Where the TV is kind of an eye sore

Oh well what ever...
