Geez...I hope I get a job soon b/c I'm not making any money planning this wedding! But heck! I'm getting a lot done!
So, DF has been looking for rings. Now, it's really no secret DF and I usually have conflicting tastes when it comes to certain things...the e-ring was a prime example. We went back and forth and forth and back and ended up with the ring that he liked originally. Ok Ok..I'M STUBBORN! I admit it. I'm not ashamed of it...but seriously...I'm wearing this ring for the rest of my life. I want it to be the right one. Needless to say I love my e-ring. Which looks like this:

So we thought we would bet something from T&Co...Just the bands from their Lucida line. Ok I'm cool with it...but my e-ring has an X prong, so it sticks out a little. DF wants to get me a wedding band that has the bump in it to accomodate for the X prong. I hate these...rings twist and turn and I am convinced that the wedding band won't sit perfectly all of the time. To which my mother says I can sauder the two together and my reply is absolutely not!
So, DF continues on his search and the other day calls me and says, "I found our rings! The one I found for you will match your band perfectly. It's from the same place we got your e-ring." I ask him to describe it to me and when we met up he shows me this:

Um. No. I don't even like it a little. DF says, "Yeah but you didn't like your e-ring at first either when we were looking at them and this will match your ring perfectly." When I bring up the twisting issue he says, "They will match up perfectly they won't twist." (yeah right what ever) I'm not thrilled with the 2 diamonds on the side. Who does that...it just doesn't have a design. Not to mention it would only have 2 diamonds on one side...then the two diamonds on the e-ring and then nothing on the other side...no symmetry...the whole thing just doesn't look right to me.

Again, I will tell you I AM STUBBORN...and picky...
DF shows me the ring he likes...

Not what I would have picked out...but not bad. He likes it. He has to wear it. I'm cool with it.
So, I figure I can compromise. I can at least see if the jeweler can get me a photo with the rings together, right? WRONG.
I email them asking for a photo...and 48 hours later have not heard anything back-their website says if you don't hear back in 24 hours to call them. So, I do. I kindly ask if I could see a photo with the two rings together. The guy on the other end of the phone says he got my email and that he was working on it. Would have been nice to get an email saying that. Fine. I'll be in NYC in November. I can make an appointment to see the setting then in person. Nope can't do that either. They are an online dealer and other than loose stones they don't have a showcase. OK. Fine. I'll wait for your reply even if it isn't in a timely manner. What ever.
So, I FINALLY get an email from him that states:
We do not currently have any images of these bands together. However, rest assured that they are a perfect fit, and rest beautifully next to one another. If you are not fully satisfied with the combination, you can return it for a full refund within 30 days of shipment.
Thank you,
(and he doesn't even bother to sign his name)
"Rest assured that they are a perfect fit and rest beautifully next to one another"

Seriously??? Um hey ding bat. I'm sure you think your work is beautiful...but I want to see if it is beautiful on my hand! Not just some random Hey...let my DF purchase this to see if I like it and let you gain interest on his $$$ until we return it.
Honestly, how hard is it to photoshop this. Even more honestly...I don't know what happened to your customer service-which was great when we purchased my e-ring...Grrr...

and I have to purchase DF's wedding band from you b/c he likes it. So, I can't even impose the "not purchasing from you b/c you suck" rule.
I really find thing rather comical...and very typical of DF and me. I love how our personality shines through even while planning...
